Advocate ... Lakoff clearly talks about shortcoming of assuming rational action ... free market theory make many assumptions which aren't always true, and this is why in reality pure free market / unregulated free market often leads to great disparities in wealth ... which undermines your assertion of bringing prosperity to all.

Also, so what if it goes to the America people's bank account....the Corporations would either charge for goods at prices that we couldn't afford or go out of business.

Lakoff's ideas sound similar to what people call the mommy party and the daddy party. Research does show that certain personality traits are more prevalent in a particular gender, and research also shows correlation between certain traits and political self-identifications. I don't know if Lakoff is familiar with this psychological research, but it could possibly substantiate some of his theories.

When I read his books I read that people live with BOTH types of family structures in their lives. At times one side may be more prevalent, but we ARE familiar with both. Our country has gone through periods of both. The "We are right everybody else must obey us". And The "We Must help you all realize your true capacity". As for an idea out of the air, well that's where ideas are. The point is does his idea fit the circumstance.
