It seems like they don't want to say goodbye..? neither Morten or pål has any plans and mags says "nothing lasts forever" like it just had to come, as if it wasn't their decision...

Thanks for sharing! This is my 2nd attempt to post...stupid internet connection!! Sorry if it duplicates! I agree with butterfly445566 the decision to split did seem rushed. To me something about it just seemed "off" in some way. I don't know tho, maybe this has been brewing a while and has just been kept quiet til now. That aside, I have to say that although I'm a Morten girl, I'm glad Pal got an opportunity to talk about the break-up (what an ugly word!) because we rarely get to hear from him!
This "retirement" idea vexes me!! The synergy between these 3 men is overwhelming. I just cannot get used to thinking there will be no more spine- chilling, heart- thrilling, tear- spilling albums. There's just never been a more awesome combination than Mags, Morten and Paul!!!! My trip to the UK to see them live next week was supposed to be FUN! Now it seems like I'm going to a funeral.......Yeah, it makes me cry.... silly, right?
Thank you SO much for sharing this! I am finally glad to see that Pal has something to say and that the interviewer actually listened! Morten does look sad and has his sunglasses on. Also, I find it interesting that Pal and Morten mirror each other the whole time. They sit back with one leg over the other and one arm over the side....then sit forward with their hands on their knees....while Mags is wtih crossed arms....I wonder if the break up was Mags idea? I am sad about it no matter. :0(
Morten says that it is natural for things to come to an end and that now he is going to clean the slate and get a fresh look on things, because that's healthy. (or at least that is what the voice-over says)
Magne says: nothing lasts forever but now they have taken the change to say goodbye with a big party. 25 years in the business felt like a good opportunity to say goodbye with dignity and grace.
Is this interview about the breakup. I suspect it is. I don't speak German, but Pal says he may do Savoy or work with other people in music, and Morten says he has no specific plans. Thanks for sharing. ;)

It's so strange....it's like if they stopped reluctantly......it's just my impression.....:(
But if paul has again a lot of songs, maybe they will change their opinion....

Paul does not have any concrete plans for the time after a-ha and says that he wasn't really the ... if it had been up to him they could go on.
He still has lots and lots of songs.
But now that he has gotten used to the idea of breaking up with these guys he feels he could also be doing stuff with other people.
