According to a recent interview Niitsuma wanted 58 characters, but execs wanted the game to be out by Christmas.(which seeing as it's a big time for games to be sold, I can understand). Sounds like he might've already had some characters planned. Heck, that might be the reason why MM didn't make it in, simply because the game had to come out this year. To me, this sounds like there's a really good chance Niitsuma's gonna work on the characters he wanted to add and make them DLC.
to anyone complaining about the re-release. Its not so much just the characters that Capcom is adding, its also the new balance changes and the new moves added to the original cast of the game. I thought that it was unfair that some of the character example Dante had like 40 + specials where as Doom had what? 4 specials? To be honest I can't wait to buy this game and for 40 bucks for the balance changes, characters and new stages? A lot cheaper if you would buy each character as a DLC. So STFU

@WahidAllen Not because this one is better. But the fact that Capcom stay doing what they did with Street Fighter 2. Selling the same game with features that should have been on the original one. All they had to do was patch the original MvC3. I recommend you not to buy the original MvC3, just wait for Ultimate.

I doubt they're gonna come out with "Super Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Champion Alpha Arcade Edition" because then Marvel would have to be on board with it.
And if it's such a terrible idea, I doubt MARVEL, the biggest comic book franchise in the world, wouls allow for somehting like that to happen. Remember Disney owns Marvel now too, and Disney knows how to make money...

If this was DLC then it would be more expensive then the 40$ game.
Characters are 5$ each usually, which would equate too 60 dollars as there will be 12 new characters.
Then add on about 10$ for all the new features such as spectating and character rebalances.
So your getting a 70$ game for 40$.

According to a recent interview Niitsuma wanted 58 characters, but execs wanted the game to be out by Christmas.(which seeing as it's a big time for games to be sold, I can understand). Sounds like he might've already had some characters planned. Heck, that might be the reason why MM didn't make it in, simply because the game had to come out this year. To me, this sounds like there's a really good chance Niitsuma's gonna work on the characters he wanted to add and make them DLC.

to anyone complaining about the re-release. Its not so much just the characters that Capcom is adding, its also the new balance changes and the new moves added to the original cast of the game. I thought that it was unfair that some of the character example Dante had like 40 + specials where as Doom had what? 4 specials? To be honest I can't wait to buy this game and for 40 bucks for the balance changes, characters and new stages? A lot cheaper if you would buy each character as a DLC. So STFU
