Hi Duane, not sure what kind of camera you're using, but I'd highly suggest in investing in a tripod. Or a more affordable route but more flexible (literally flexible!) alternative I'd HIGHLY recommend Joby's Gorilla Pods. Easy to use on just about any surface because the legs are bendable, can wrap around a pole and objects, as well as being very compact and lightweight. I'd also suggest a tripod head to mount on; Joby makes their own or you can buy a third party one such as from Manfrotto
