  • yay i have trained with those =D

  • hey ! hang on , if their time is 3.57.734 this is no more the fastest team pursuit ! Team GB did a 3.55 since !

  • @CarveWaysk8team Australia are still waaaaaaay better :D

  • @Legend8768 pee off (i like Australia dont wory mate ;)) but england have dominated track cycling for the last 8 years !

  • @CarveWaysk8team don't you mean team GB?

  • Can anyone explain why the 4th rider peeled off and never came back at 3:27?

  • @icramer 4th rider is allowed to do that in the Team pursuit.

  • @icramer As ph4nt0m said, he's allowed to pull off the line if he cannot keep pace since the final time is measured by the third cyclist. You can see at around 4:20 the team starts to sprawl out to sling the third rider forwards.

You can imagine the guy who pulled off from the line as a rabbit maybe setting the pace - typical for milers on a 400m track going for a sub 4.

  • holy shit, this is poetry in motion

  • shit! is incredible

hey friends, im cyclist and I love 4000

As anyone knows who used in-pedaling?

    I estimate a 55-14 ..

  • False start???

  • @11sprocket Looks like it doesn't it...

  • What a machine!

  • Re: why post a fast quali time, and slower in the final?

This is fairly common in pursuit. You want to qualify as fast as possible: a. you don't want to miss the cut! and b. the faster you qualify, the weaker your opponent will be in the final. Once you get to the final, it doesn't matter what your time is, as long as you beat your opponent.

  • Pity it no longer the fastest. Hey the british are not to bad with out wiggo Hey, Fastest qualifing with swift then 2nd fastest time ever with Tennant in Final.

    Go GB

  • For those who've never done it; the secret of this 'lung busting' type of racing is stay as close as possible to the wheel in front and to spend as little time as possible off the back during changes. e.g. the change at 3.58 nearly loses it.

  • when you go down to 3 riders you have to adjust the exchange by going less high up the bank. The exchange at 3:58 was either a mental lapse or poor coaching--because it will happen every time if you forget and take the same amount of track as you did with four riders...

  • now that's the way to run a paceline. everyone taking a fast, 20 second pull and then resting for 60 seconds.

  • i wouldnt call it resting. :/

  • hah! I guess insignia0 should change his comment to "they used to be crap" compared to the british. tough times without wiggins, huh?

  • I feel the need....the need for speed!

  • lol they r crap compared to the british pursuit team and whts the poitn setting a quick qauli time and not doign it in the final race

  • I'm proud to be a dane :D
