  • The Beatles were great and they revolutionized music like few others. In that sense they may get more proprs than EWF. But as far as listening goes...I would pikc EWF. I can only listen to The Beatles so much until I get tired of them. But EWF...all day.

  • Larry Dunn

He was called up in i think 1971 or 1972, to join the band because EWF was looking for a keyboard play after Ramsey Lewis split. So Philip Bailey called Larry up because both were classmates and ALSO with Andrew Woolfolk, so Bailey called up Dunn and Dunn came for an audition. So Larry sat by ear and learned every song off the first 2 EWF albums, and when he went up, without a shadow of a doubt, he was rad picked out. LARRY IS A MONSTER lol

  • The white member is my favorite.

  • @beowulven course he is you white cunt!!!

  • @wizfan92301

    Aww, you've figured me out!

  • @beowulven too bad the white guy does not make the band......hes not even known!!!

  • @beowulven

"White member" ...???! ... and who's that ...? There was NO white member (at first) in Earth, White and Fire ! ... Roland Bautista...?? ... He is NOT "White" -from a "racial" point of view- you dumb ! He is Black -or at least mulatto (just like many of other people labelled "Black" in America) . He is a Brazilian ... it's YOU who is "white" !

  • @VintageSoundsNumber1

Calling somebody dumb by writing "you dumb"? You've just answered your own question, rocket scientist.

Incidentally, I meant Maurice White, so...

  • Glad to see R.Bautista's return on guitar duties -a precise Rhythm genius and definitely a strong soloist. They just needed Ronnie Laws back on sax and the 1972 nucleus of E,W &F is back.

  • It was good seeing Roland Bautista was back with the group from 1981 to 1983,after his 1973 departure;he's just the best guitarist in Earth,Wind & Fire !! Beats Al McKay and Johnny Graham...!!...

  • @potrezaml Nobody beats anybody. All three have their own individual styles. Didn't you hear Maurice talk about potential as an individual and rendering to humanity? It's not a contest.

  • Nice to hear the guys talk about EW&F. Thanks for the posting!

  • blah, blah, blah, blah...just stfu and play Love Rollercoaster. Oh, that was the Ohio Players? My bad.

  • @ultrakool What was that supposed to be? Some kind of a joke?

  • This band just has not gotten enough respect. Those who know about them love them, but not enough know them.

  • Greatest band of all time!

  • Great interview.....Necessary for my development.....Thanks.....

  • Thank you so much for this video. It seems rare to find a video interview with Reece. I look forward to the day the book is written.

  • auto tracking saves the day once again.

  • Maurice is the man! Verdine doesn't get old!

  • Makes me think of dancing in the disco all night long. They were really amazing!

  • WOW! Legendary, "The Complex" recording studio. I've always heard about it, and now there it is. Thanks!! And yes, Maurice reigns over the entire R&B World.

  • Roland looks fine!

  • who's Roland?

  • Roland Bautista was with the group early on, left, and then returned in the early '80s.

  • Roland was one of the guitar players.

  • Maurice reigns supreme :)
