See, I plan to go to Osaka U to become a neurosurgeon, which at entry level make upwards of 400,000 dollars a year. That way I can work a for a few years, and after that I hope to either relocate to a small community as a doctor (Neurosurgeons are just ultra specialized) or perhaps buy an onsen ryokan. I would love a house like that, though!
You have a very soothing presence that is well suited for travel documentaries. Your commentary manages to walk that fine line of informative but, simultaneously, slightly humorous: in short, the quintessential British host. I loved the way that you could hear your footsteps and the wind and a dog barking in the background. This whole video felt like a postcard from Japan. I would love to see you try a video on a busy street or marketplace. Good luck on any future endeavours!!!:)
@serenevil What a very, very lovely and greatly appreciated comment. In fact I have posted over 500 video and this is the best comment I have ever received.
@vidaripollen Yes you are quite right. I had just got the camera and was trying to get the entire tour in HD on a small sd card. I will go back and do a better video soon.
@vidaripollen Will do. I have a back log of videos to post but as soon as I am done I will do more architecture ones. I am going to Gunma in a few weeks to one of Japans most famous hot spring resorts. Bound to be lots of great houses. I will get some footage for you. Glad you enjoyed it.
@GimmeKitty No they do not. Least of all in Tokyo. I could rent a place twice the size and half the price of my current home if I was not in the centre of Tokyo.
The whole rent system is pretty weird. It basically takes five or six months rent just to get into a new place with two months rent being a gift ( key money ) to your landlord ; (
Can't anybody just rob their house when the walls are paper????? They can you break through very easily or slide it open

Me gustaria que recorriera el sendero del jardin mas despacio para verlo mejor.

I also wonder how folks can survive the COLD winters in Japan when homes aren't centrally heated.
