I admit it. SPQR MOD is awesome. I only played about... 5 minutes of it. I liked it I just didnt play it long enough. NEW Total War games were out and I was too busy with that.

To replenish your untis I think take forever. REALITY I guess.

coud someone please make a mod where the viking are one country not danes swedes and norwegians but gathered under the black eagle. and on the normal rome map where the vikings start in norway sweden and denmark, but call the cities valldal, arnas and bornholm. and the units: many barbaric units with little armor but fanatic and brave and please for once just give them berserkers and hirdmen!poor cav but GREAT BERSERKERS WITH AXE, LONGBOATS and medium basic unfantery but superior fanatic axemen!

your right a chain maul armour is not strong at all it cant stop a spear thrust nor a thrust from a short short. In the deadliest warrior they done test. Branded armour is better

Actually it's very debatable whether or not the lorica segmentata (segmented armor) was more effective than the lorica hamata (chainmail). It was unquestionably cheaper and easier to make as well as lighter, but it likely afforded less protection.

Uhh.. the lorica segmentata is not chainmail. It is, as the name implies, segmented armor.

If you want RTW like feel and gameplay but more historically accurate then Rome Total Realism is a good mod to go for.
