You do understand that a disease can have multiple causal factors, don't you..? A causal factor is just something that, like asparthame, triggers the organic process that leads to the disease. I.e., MS is not only caused by asparthame, but also by it.

The same factor can also cause various diseases. Asparthame also causes cancer, and since it attacks nervous tissue (hence the MS), it also attacks your cognitive centers.

So, eat all you want, but don't give it to your children...
