I can't believe this was like computer calculated game . Petrosian also was a chess legend . The way he managed to defend his king was really amazing, I thought it is over for him when fisher 's rook, queen and a h paan promoted so dangerously . That was an interesting game thanks for upload.
im a fan of both players the best defender of all times against the best atacker of all times and im happy that ended draw but i still think that ficsher is stronger ,long time i thought that the americans were hapy to have a concurrent in top world players againts BRSS during the cold war and they were saying that he is the best of all times but ficsher is really the best player in the world.
That fact that Bobby was only 16 years old when he played this game is utterly remarkable, especially considering Petrosian was 30 years old during the time of this Candidates match.
actually fisher was a lot like me he respected all chess players and respected them but after he found out how they were all weak he changed his mind and laughed abotu them
Don't compare Fischer to yourself, you can't even form a coherent sentence. You didn't even spell his name correctly...it's FISCHER. Ignorant child.

Seriously, every video you post is just packed with tons to think about.
I actually just bought fischer's 60 most memorable games, and I can't wait to go back through these videos as I get to them in the book. It'll be great to read Fischer's analysis while getting more background and detail from your posts.
Anyways, thanks again for another solid vid; the effort is truly appreciated. I have yet to come across video analysis that I enjoy more
It's interesting that Fischer decided to include this game in his famous compendium, as he threw away the win with a blunder at the end with Kg3. I guess it is indeed 'memorable'.
Yes indeed; it was more or less unheard of for great masters to include draws and losses in their game collections - and Fischer included both. However, according to his analysis, it was a drawn position before Kg3 anyway! In any case the 4 queens make it very memorable on their own. All the best!
amg so dissapointed :(( fisher should win everythin 1!! tbh u think fisher when he was at the top of his game (cause here u said he was 16 and had a few blunders..he said it :O ) vs Petrosian at top of his game would win ?
Oh I think Fischer was stronger, certainly, although Petrosian is generally underrated and was misunderstood for a very long time - often a sign of genius too. They were both incredible in any case, and both had huge respect for the other; Fischer included Petrosian in one of his "ten best players of all time" lists. All the best!
@SeanGGodley but later in the games at the top of his hight, in a fisher book he said to geller i buy petrosian a car if he wins a single game in the remaining match...
i m understending noe that i dont know to play chess bravoo four bouth pgreat players thanks 4 the video

Petrosian=Puyol of chess? :DD

As I see, a draw with black shows that the barrier was really unbreakable and that the force was not that unstoppable.

yeah i thought fischer would have like a super mega hidden move that crash everything!!!!
Liguzh 2 years ago
Indeed; we would expect nothing less from him! But against the great defender Petrosian it is hard to find such moves!
