Half-Life glitch/bug - NPC suicide

I had this glitch too!! For some reason, every friendly NPC would just die at the end of a script - but you could keep talking to them as they lay there on the ground! Funny.

lol, this reminded me of this time when there was a Barney who had to push a button somewhere... but he would just walk in front of this tank and a crap load of soldiers, so when he actually got to the button and pressed it, he had a heart attack and died XD

scripted sequences, in half-life, always come first. sometimes they can be extremly important

It's not a glitch, due to Half-Life's horrible physics (or something) you can hit,shoot, and/or explode a npc so many times before they die. Mostly happens during a scripted sequence, try it.

That glitch happens when you hit them so often that the health of the NPC is by 0 but when they had a animation that is not finished he can't die and so he dies after the animation
