As of now, there are many more people who oppose the legalization of marijuana. Plus this is such a frivolous argument that it's never going to vote. The country is dealing with an economic downfall, there is tension between us and most of the world, and numerous other issues facing America. The legalization of marijuana would lead causes such as Alcohol. People react differently just as they do with alcohol. Are cigarettes worse than Marijuana? Much worse, but the effect could be worse in public with marijuana both to yourself and sometimes to others. If this was legalized I understand perfectly. Out of Alcohol, Cigarettes and Marijuana, Marijuana is the safest of them. I believe it should be legalized if used in your own home, and just like drinking you may not be "High in public"

I completely agree with you. If people could confine smoking marijuana in their own homes, that would be fine with me. But the fact is that so many people go above and beyond what's legal. Legalize private use and more people will light up in public places, while driving, before work, etc. So unless you legalize smoking anywhere at anytime (which is COMPLETELY ridiculous) then it would just go too far. America is too immature for legalization.
