Now I see that I had attached myself to the "awareness identity" and your message (10-12min) was crushing that identity. The last few days I was starting to see more clearly that I/awareness cannot be defined whatsoever beyond this experience and that old identity is deconstructing. Interesting. BUT awareness which you are talking about is better, when message is conveyed with clarity. To someone who has no clue about these topics you have lost them. People are so empty feeling because of all there life dramas, they often feel an ache in their chest, I know I did. @thejazzcatphil Ok, this Bentinho looks like Matt Damon on Xtc, they're both much too young to be sages and they're giggling and waving at us like nervous debutantes, but can you fault what they're saying? And if you should answer that that doesn't mean a thing because advaita-talk is easy, I'd say that to me they sound like they're trying to express a live core insight they're having rather than repackage a half-understood message.
Jeff is half baked, and doesn't like to be interrupted mid flow at his talks, Bentinho has a clarity that he realised from the 12 enquiries of Balanced view /great freedom whilst in India.
This is The One Thing that everything is appearing and expressing itself as two young idiot clowns practising intellectual masturbation.Everything is allowed in the great Drama playing out on the Stage of Life which includes fakes,genuine gurus,negative comments,positive comments etc. But I feel amazed that anyone actually gets anything spiritual or valuable off these guys in this video in which they really let themselves down and lose whatever credibility they might have had in the first place.
behind their silliness, i sensed true genuinity, lightness and love. and their message about recognizing the peace/ acceptance already inherent in whatever may arise in our consciousness, rings so very true to me. nothing complicated about it, just a willingness to be in our own skin and recognize the peace already inherent in whatever rises. that IS the way. its simple. our minds like complicated, which is what makes being in each moment, without analysis, difficult.
I suspect they just came from the Cannabis Bar, but anyone will sound unintelligible whilst attempting to speak of something that can not be spoken of. Bentinho came very close when he stated that acceptance is already the case anyways. And the laughter is a good sign that they understand the joke of trying to explain the unexplainable to the nothing that is everything.Good stuff.
I don't get it... you guys sometimes speak so articulately about pure nonduality and then jump right back into somebody doing something- totally dualistic language. Experience simply comes and goes... for no one. Resistance comes and goes, but nobody is doing it.
Not everyone awakens to the same Truth. Adyashanti describes this in "Different Qualities of Awakening". Knowing this makes it easier to understand how some authoress can have had a real awakening yet still be a reprehensible person. At best, she had an awakening to self-as-awareness but not to oneness or to profound-no-self. "The mind is endless" - Charles Manson.
I have qestion. Coz "fell" for me is being it. And describing is when tell about past. If i`m present in Now. I cant describe. Coz describing need data. And you cant use data from now coz you now describing :D So I fell it Now. What? i cant tell you coz i fell not describing. Describing is not Now. Feeling is now. Actually just look at them (and their other videos). Jeff is lost in his own non-dual daze---he's ok but he can't help others (but he is emerging at last). Bentinho is wide awake, totally present and you can see it. This means that he can connect with people and help them. Just my opinion.

Amazing that it's the young dudes who figure this stuff out (and) can explain it in a useable way for everyone. I've always loathed the so called enlightened masters who act as if they're the 'chosen ones' (i.e we got it, we can't tell you how, yet we still want to tell you all about it ..... ) unlike Bentinho and Jeff who express how we're all equal candidates for happiness (i.e. enlightenment, loving what it, inner peace, etc.) Love you guys !

@michaelmorley Bentinho is a bright spark and fortunately is not stuck in the "there is no-one" groove. Rather than just words he gives a direct communication and a way to see this. This is a new departure from the ' nothing can be done" nihilism. And I expect people will get it increasingly.I like Bentinho because he doesn't tow the popular non-duality line. I realised the flaw in the 'there is no-one' teaching when I saw that being/ awareness is equally present self or no-self
@michaelmorley It is good to be sceptical but too easy to dismiss them outright. certainly Jeff has gone for the popularity stakes and has spouted enough words about non-duality to sink a battleship. I don't think he has had much success in really communicating the message but seems to be reappraising and maybe we will get less of the wave and the ocean (yawn!) and more direct heartfelt communication. I think he taught too soon and so tends to use stock non-duality speech which he knows is ltd

It is interesting to see Jeff move away from the 'there is no self' somewhat extreme reference point that he used to push, towards Bentinho's more open and inclusive getting used to awareness by stopping for a few seconds by relaxing. I think it marks the shift away from the dualistic no-self neo-advaita teaching that can confuse the mind so.

Nowadays just about anybody with enough borrowed knowledge can start speaking of "enlightenment". These Advaita teachers today have been creating a grave for the whole spiritual process, saying that you are already awakened and nothing else needs to be done. That may be the case for one who has already come to the discovery of one's Buddhahood, otherwise whatever has yet to enter into the realm of one's own direct experience has no relevance - it is simply a childish entertainment.
@Amirmourad yes, exactly! Can you imagine these fools trying convince Prince Siddhartha to stay in his palace because there is no enlightenment?! Or telling the great Milarepa he is wasting his time seeking enlightenment?! They completely dismiss the history of all mystic life, where the teaching 'I am that' was given at the right energetic moment to devote practioners, whose hearts burned for the release of suffering all beings, they weren't sitting watching tv n sittin for 20 mins on the side!

@michaelmorley42 I find what they point at to be very helpful and clear. These "new advaita teachers" have totally changed my life for the better. I was so caught up in my mind that I was depressed, had high anxiety, and couldnt sleep for years. But seeing how all of that was an illusion freed me from it. No medicine. I dont even meditate anymore. Just pure awareness all of the time. Even if depressed feelings happen they pass, like everything passes. No biggie. I for one an happy for these guys

@Amirmourad Enlightenment doesn't exist because it is just a word. We identify the word with a certain image or experience. When we have the conception, we create duality by seeing life as "this is not enlightenment, because enlightenment is this". When we stop believing in the division, we realize all is life, and we don't have to use archaic words such as enlightenment to live loving fulfilling lives. I love you, and your multiple accounts :)

They are not half baked, their fire has not even started burning. The word guru itself simply means the dispeller of darkness. Anything whatsoever which dispels the darkness of one's ignorance, is one's guru - it need not manifest in a human form. But if one can become capable of assisting others towards their liberation, one must first ignite one's own Buddha-flame, one will have to settle one's own condition before even thinking of assisting another.
@Amirmourad No GURU would do that. A GURU sees everthing as himself. To create a contrast is mind stuff and you step into duality. There is no duality in non-duality. The truth disappears when you see through the mind of duality. The mind is the world and the world is the mind; it is an illusion. Everything after 'I AM' is a lie and illusion. This was a helpful video. Awareness is everything, not requiring "special states". But I must say, from my own limited experience, meditative states (especially deep ones) help my awareness get perspective on awareness. Similar to forcing a rusted gate to swing openly.

And if you should answer that that doesn't mean a thing because advaita-talk is easy, I'd say that to me they sound like they're trying to express a live core insight they're having rather than repackage a half-understood message.

behind their silliness, i sensed true genuinity, lightness and love. and their message about recognizing the peace/ acceptance already inherent in whatever may arise in our consciousness, rings so very true to me. nothing complicated about it, just a willingness to be in our own skin and recognize the peace already inherent in whatever rises. that IS the way. its simple. our minds like complicated, which is what makes being in each moment, without analysis, difficult.

I suspect they just came from the Cannabis Bar, but anyone will sound unintelligible whilst attempting to speak of something that can not be spoken of. Bentinho came very close when he stated that acceptance is already the case anyways. And the laughter is a good sign that they understand the joke of trying to explain the unexplainable to the nothing that is everything.Good stuff.

Actually just look at them (and their other videos). Jeff is lost in his own non-dual daze---he's ok but he can't help others (but he is emerging at last). Bentinho is wide awake, totally present and you can see it. This means that he can connect with people and help them. Just my opinion.

Amazing that it's the young dudes who figure this stuff out (and) can explain it in a useable way for everyone. I've always loathed the so called enlightened masters who act as if they're the 'chosen ones' (i.e we got it, we can't tell you how, yet we still want to tell you all about it ..... ) unlike Bentinho and Jeff who express how we're all equal candidates for happiness (i.e. enlightenment, loving what it, inner peace, etc.) Love you guys !

@michaelmorley Bentinho is a bright spark and fortunately is not stuck in the "there is no-one" groove. Rather than just words he gives a direct communication and a way to see this. This is a new departure from the ' nothing can be done" nihilism. And I expect people will get it increasingly.I like Bentinho because he doesn't tow the popular non-duality line. I realised the flaw in the 'there is no-one' teaching when I saw that being/ awareness is equally present self or no-self

@michaelmorley It is good to be sceptical but too easy to dismiss them outright. certainly Jeff has gone for the popularity stakes and has spouted enough words about non-duality to sink a battleship. I don't think he has had much success in really communicating the message but seems to be reappraising and maybe we will get less of the wave and the ocean (yawn!) and more direct heartfelt communication. I think he taught too soon and so tends to use stock non-duality speech which he knows is ltd

It is interesting to see Jeff move away from the 'there is no self' somewhat extreme reference point that he used to push, towards Bentinho's more open and inclusive getting used to awareness by stopping for a few seconds by relaxing. I think it marks the shift away from the dualistic no-self neo-advaita teaching that can confuse the mind so.

Nowadays just about anybody with enough borrowed knowledge can start speaking of "enlightenment". These Advaita teachers today have been creating a grave for the whole spiritual process, saying that you are already awakened and nothing else needs to be done. That may be the case for one who has already come to the discovery of one's Buddhahood, otherwise whatever has yet to enter into the realm of one's own direct experience has no relevance - it is simply a childish entertainment.

@michaelmorley42 I find what they point at to be very helpful and clear. These "new advaita teachers" have totally changed my life for the better. I was so caught up in my mind that I was depressed, had high anxiety, and couldnt sleep for years. But seeing how all of that was an illusion freed me from it. No medicine. I dont even meditate anymore. Just pure awareness all of the time. Even if depressed feelings happen they pass, like everything passes. No biggie. I for one an happy for these guys

@Amirmourad Enlightenment doesn't exist because it is just a word. We identify the word with a certain image or experience. When we have the conception, we create duality by seeing life as "this is not enlightenment, because enlightenment is this". When we stop believing in the division, we realize all is life, and we don't have to use archaic words such as enlightenment to live loving fulfilling lives. I love you, and your multiple accounts :)

Who are you talking to? The true master is quiet within, he (she) shares his being with other beings as and when it happens. He does not imagine, or project problems to a mechanical camera. Anything whatsoever which dispels the darkness of one's ignorance, is one's guru - it need not manifest in a human form. But if one can become capable of assisting others towards their liberation, one must first ignite one's own Buddha-flame, one will have to settle one's own condition before even thinking of assisting another.

This was a helpful video. Awareness is everything, not requiring "special states". But I must say, from my own limited experience, meditative states (especially deep ones) help my awareness get perspective on awareness. Similar to forcing a rusted gate to swing openly.
