It still looks like the people who did have the k style experience are gonna have a little boost in the handling department, and btw it doesnt matter if it wasnt meant to be , it was the glue that held that game coming this far, i mean really who would have played gunz 1 still for its graphics? Seeing as the KOREANS (hard core community) are going to get it first, i wouldnt go saying that k style isnt going to be in so quickly , just yet.. entire video i did not see a sword slash(purpose maybe?
actually the style it self is made of glitches, but it's not really glitches if u think about it. The glitch is movement canceling. Like if u slash after a dash, you can cancel dash a bit, or if you wall jump then slash to cancel that extra wall jump animation. Thats basically the glitch. Then people found moves and stuff and combinations with it and there you go, k style.
To everyone K style WASN'T a glitch and will be in gunz2 as well. All the vid showed was 1 sword move at the beginning, there's no point to complain there's no k style if they haven't shown it yet.
So what if it's a glitch? It's still there, they didn't fix the "glitch" so they obviously thought it was a positive addition to the game. Now it's going to be around in G2 and that'll suck. Lots of people wont play just for that reason.
I dont think MAIET is even making this game. And fuck you losers that are asking for k-style. It was an exploit, it was never supposed to be there. This will bring the game back to its original ways.
@LeeDevile1 K-Style wasn't the "meaning" of GunZ. GUNS was the meaning of GunZ, and it's all there. Just be grateful that you're getting a variant of K-Style in GunZ 2 to keep the "pros" happy.

It was an accident, and it wasn't meant to be. Go watch the original GunZ trailers and learn that yourselves. There will likely be another "glitch" that some of you fools will learn to abuse when GunZ 2 arrives, but for now you're just gonna have to deal with it.

@Zant5976 Lol? Original Gunz trailers DID have K-style in them (the release trailers not the Beta trailers, mind you). Maiet even talked about implementing K-style into GunZ before, go do some simple research. Gunzfactor had interviews on their forums last time I checked, though that was a months ago.
@Zant5976 K-Style is what made GunZ so popular. Without it, the game would have been deserted pretty quickly, because the gameplay was too slow/limited and not really appealing to "hardcore" gamers. GunZ without K-Style is meant to die. K-Style is GunZ. Deal with it.

You'll get your previous K-style back, but I can guaranteed it won't be anywhere as extensive/broken as it was in GunZ 1, since MAIET confirmed move canceling won't be possible, so no butterflies, slash-shots, yo-yos, etc.
Can someone please thumbs this up for fools. On one of MAIET's websites somewhere there is an interview and someone asked if k style will be removed, and it is not. Also, on the information about GunZ 2 somewhere on their website, they said they will be trying to implement K-Style some how in GunZ 2. Stop acting like theres no relations to k style in GunZ 2. If you like original K-Style so much, go play GunZ1 Because in the interview they said GunZ 1 Will still be updated while Gunz 2 is out
@a3as Maiet have said previously that they may be implementing K-Style into Gunz 2 but it will be more difficult to pull off. At the moment its a 'Maybe', not a 'Certain'

The new wall jumping and running system might make me feel more accomplished from getting to point a to point b. Wall Canceling was easy and boring as hell but the fastest way to get around.
Seriously, folks. With all the new elements in GunZ 2 such as DMC style bullet juggling, flamethrowers, shields and the immersive physics engine, the K-Style that most of you know and love from GunZ 1 simply wont work here.
MAIET also has to worry about making the game balanced this time around, so shotguns, katanas and revolvers won't be the only competition viable weapons.
Only other thing to say is either enjoy GunZ 2 for what it is or just play GunZ 1. GunZ 2 isnt going to be GunZ 1 in HD.
Hey, MAIET, how about you not screw up this time and actually make a balanced game instead of letting accepted glitches in. Having all the pistols, assault rifles, rocket launchers, and machine guns in the world doesn't matter if shotguns can easily outclass them all because you both completely negate its weaknesses and make it better than what it was supposed to be.
I actually think this will be great, you know, this is an VERY early version of the game, with lots of things yet tol be improved, for an early version, this kick ass!
Have awesome graphics, nice interaction with the enviroment, with some tweeking in the sound effects (wich should be the same of Gunz 1) and animation, everytihing will be just Perfect.
PS:Im going to miss the unique style of Gunz 1 too, but I guess they changed it, to not dissapoint us =3
yea i wanna try this game to judge it first. And according to maiet, it sounds sick. ppl gonna be sad a bit cuz after playing gunz 1 so much and getting good at it and stuff, its all wasted since its not the same creativeness as this new gunz coming out. i want a game like gunz 2, been playing gunz 1 for a long while since ijji. i will play gunz 1 because unique randomness that turns out to work, and since they gonna keep updating it w/ gunz 2 out, i can still look forward to gunz 1 with new things, and again i cant say the updates will suck, not enough info, but just gotta wait.
it seems theres 2 groups of ppl here. are you going to want to play gunz 2 because its a new game with more interactive gameplay(not more than gunz, compare this game to other games, rather than just fking gunz 1) and stuff like that and strategies ( idk theres a lot more, again not enough information) or are you thinking you wouldn't want to play gunz 2 because its not like gunz 1...

We'll not implement canceling with slashing for GunZ the Second Duel as I told before.
For GunZ 1, there was only few tactics that you can use. But for GunZ 2, you can make various gameplay by yourselves.
Venister is staff at Maiet entertainment. What he means is that this gunz is going to be like 2004 gunz before k style was possible. There will be slashing but no k style at all.

@a3as Well, it'll have k style in the sense that you can do a single slash in one jump. You won't be able to do 2 slashes in a jump, and you won't be able to block the slashes. That's why I told venister this game will be a flop unless they implement slash cancelling again.
Why'd you all complain? probably staffs were the one playing, and doesn't have time to K'style, you saw the spray insta, that means all hope isn't lost.
Appreciate that it was made like this way, I was expecting "Wow nice graphics blah blah blah" comment but what I saw was "F*ck this blah blah blah", I don't see the reason why not to play this game.

Some people honestly... Complaining that they have ruined gunz. They have not ruined it, they have changed it. If gunz 2 was the same as gunz 1 wouldnt that of been stupid? Also new game = new challenges and opportunities for new people to grasp GunZ The Duel. Im looking forward to this, atleast its something thats new and refined instead of the pentium capable graphics from gunz1. GunZ 1 is boring as hell same sht over and over, atlease this is different. I like it very much.
The only thing I'm gonna miss from GunZ 1 was the music and the awesome art style. The visuals in GunZ 1 was like if Devil May Cry and Max Payne had an awesome baby.
Also: I'll never forget the day I played GunZ 1 and heard the lobby music for the first time. It was raining outside on a dark and cloudy afternoon and hearing the lobby room really set the mood. It was so PERFECT.
@Mookmook3 the only thing I'll miss is the ability to be FUCKING original with gameplay, instead of running around with a sword, doing 4 slashes on the ground, jumping and doing only ONE SLASH WITHOUT BLOCK.

@Mookmook3 you're wrong, in any field that has technique be it martial arts, music or even gaming the process of learning is quite the same... the same goes for the difficulties people have overcoming certain "technical barriers"
and this is especially seen in this game
the only difference people don't play the same game 20 years or devote their life to it

@Zant5976 Lol? Original Gunz trailers DID have K-style in them (the release trailers not the Beta trailers, mind you). Maiet even talked about implementing K-style into GunZ before, go do some simple research. Gunzfactor had interviews on their forums last time I checked, though that was a months ago.

@Zant5976 K-Style is what made GunZ so popular. Without it, the game would have been deserted pretty quickly, because the gameplay was too slow/limited and not really appealing to "hardcore" gamers. GunZ without K-Style is meant to die. K-Style is GunZ. Deal with it.

You'll get your previous K-style back, but I can guaranteed it won't be anywhere as extensive/broken as it was in GunZ 1, since MAIET confirmed move canceling won't be possible, so no butterflies, slash-shots, yo-yos, etc.

Can someone please thumbs this up for fools. On one of MAIET's websites somewhere there is an interview and someone asked if k style will be removed, and it is not. Also, on the information about GunZ 2 somewhere on their website, they said they will be trying to implement K-Style some how in GunZ 2. Stop acting like theres no relations to k style in GunZ 2. If you like original K-Style so much, go play GunZ1 Because in the interview they said GunZ 1 Will still be updated while Gunz 2 is out

@a3as Maiet have said previously that they may be implementing K-Style into Gunz 2 but it will be more difficult to pull off. At the moment its a 'Maybe', not a 'Certain'

1 ) K-Style will be available in GunZ 2 and probably alot more styles
2 ) Whats wrong with more guns , making the game unbalance? Is it fine having such minimal choice of guns like in Gunz 1? The gameplay made easier for new players too

The new wall jumping and running system might make me feel more accomplished from getting to point a to point b. Wall Canceling was easy and boring as hell but the fastest way to get around.

Seriously, folks. With all the new elements in GunZ 2 such as DMC style bullet juggling, flamethrowers, shields and the immersive physics engine, the K-Style that most of you know and love from GunZ 1 simply wont work here.
MAIET also has to worry about making the game balanced this time around, so shotguns, katanas and revolvers won't be the only competition viable weapons.
Only other thing to say is either enjoy GunZ 2 for what it is or just play GunZ 1. GunZ 2 isnt going to be GunZ 1 in HD.

Hey, MAIET, how about you not screw up this time and actually make a balanced game instead of letting accepted glitches in. Having all the pistols, assault rifles, rocket launchers, and machine guns in the world doesn't matter if shotguns can easily outclass them all because you both completely negate its weaknesses and make it better than what it was supposed to be.

I actually think this will be great, you know, this is an VERY early version of the game, with lots of things yet tol be improved, for an early version, this kick ass!
Have awesome graphics, nice interaction with the enviroment, with some tweeking in the sound effects (wich should be the same of Gunz 1) and animation, everytihing will be just Perfect.
PS:Im going to miss the unique style of Gunz 1 too, but I guess they changed it, to not dissapoint us =3

yea i wanna try this game to judge it first. And according to maiet, it sounds sick. ppl gonna be sad a bit cuz after playing gunz 1 so much and getting good at it and stuff, its all wasted since its not the same creativeness as this new gunz coming out. But dont worry ppl, thats why they gonna keep updating the current gunz the duel out right now while gunz 2 would be out or w/e. So we can look forward to gunz 1 updates and gunz 2.

i want a game like gunz 2, been playing gunz 1 for a long while since ijji. i will play gunz 1 because unique randomness that turns out to work, and since they gonna keep updating it w/ gunz 2 out, i can still look forward to gunz 1 with new things, and again i cant say the updates will suck, not enough info, but just gotta wait.

it seems theres 2 groups of ppl here. are you going to want to play gunz 2 because its a new game with more interactive gameplay(not more than gunz, compare this game to other games, rather than just fking gunz 1) and stuff like that and strategies ( idk theres a lot more, again not enough information) or are you thinking you wouldn't want to play gunz 2 because its not like gunz 1...

If they're planning to bring remixed GunZ 1 stages, they better bring remixed music from the GunZ 1 OST. Seriously, The lobby music and the Hardcore song was the shit

We'll not implement canceling with slashing for GunZ the Second Duel as I told before.
For GunZ 1, there was only few tactics that you can use. But for GunZ 2, you can make various gameplay by yourselves.
Venister is staff at Maiet entertainment. What he means is that this gunz is going to be like 2004 gunz before k style was possible. There will be slashing but no k style at all.

@a3as Well, it'll have k style in the sense that you can do a single slash in one jump. You won't be able to do 2 slashes in a jump, and you won't be able to block the slashes. That's why I told venister this game will be a flop unless they implement slash cancelling again.

Appreciate that it was made like this way, I was expecting "Wow nice graphics blah blah blah" comment but what I saw was "F*ck this blah blah blah", I don't see the reason why not to play this game.

Some people honestly... Complaining that they have ruined gunz. They have not ruined it, they have changed it. If gunz 2 was the same as gunz 1 wouldnt that of been stupid? Also new game = new challenges and opportunities for new people to grasp GunZ The Duel. Im looking forward to this, atleast its something thats new and refined instead of the pentium capable graphics from gunz1. GunZ 1 is boring as hell same sht over and over, atlease this is different. The only thing I'm gonna miss from GunZ 1 was the music and the awesome art style. The visuals in GunZ 1 was like if Devil May Cry and Max Payne had an awesome baby.
Also: I'll never forget the day I played GunZ 1 and heard the lobby music for the first time. It was raining outside on a dark and cloudy afternoon and hearing the lobby room really set the mood. It was so PERFECT.
