  • so what he's gay people shut the hell up!!! he's an awesome musician thats all that should matter to you! X(

  • @fathersaturn I totally agree with your comment. Who cares if Koz is gay? Does it affect him playing music? No, it doesn't. He's one of the greatest saxophone players today and you guys shouldn't care if he's gay or straight

  • 4:50 that is so freakin cheesy XD

  • Of course Dave is gay! He came out in a 2004 interview with The Advocate magazine.

  • WTF?? Dave is complementing him for his "hair"?? Bizarro!!

    Is Dave gay or what?

  • @leston4life

Of course Dave is gay!! What rock have you been living under?? He came out in a 2004 Advocate interview.

  • Nice really nice !

  • Two guys...in one room ... ^^ Even Dave is complimenting him for his "hair" *gg

  • big diference betwen a Selmer mark 6 and a china built Yamaha

  • Japanese built

  • Yup...JAPANESE! ^^

  • @volvo273 yes indeed! michael actually plays on a Yamaha Custom EX alto now

  • Never woulda knew he was Danish. But then again, who can distinguish nationality through a saxophone? Lol.

It's interesting that Dave Koz interviewed him, because that's the jazz saxophonist Michael Lington is the closest to sound-wise, in my estimation. I wonder if they've ever done anything together. They should.

  • I feel like they have. I've heard Dave Koz interview him on his morning show a couple of years ago

  • wonderful

  • wow that was absolutely amazing, i had to fast forward to the end of the interview lmao, the beautiful duet at the end made up for all the jibber jabber

  • Wow, my two favorite sax playas

  • I won tickets to a jazz concert along with tickets to disneyland and I was surprised to hear michael lington I fell in love with him and his sexy style

  • 4:27 and 6:30 is best

  • como se llama(name) la cancion(song) que tocan al final del video.......?

  • 4:33

  • I like the parts at 5:43 5:58 and 6:09.

But this is DEFINETLY a song I wanna learn!

  • Just totally awesome "You've Got A Friend" version...by obviously friends...and a beautiful success story...Love Frequency for the "rest of the story". Thank you Dave Koz for the tunes especially, Frequency, and YouTube for some great moments from the past to the very moment one discovers the beautiful connection with us all.....Peace...Mwah!

  • dave koz is a sell out

  • Covering Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street" was a stupid thing to do.

Unless you're going to do something different with an iconic piece, don't touch it at all.

But to cover it EXACTLY as it was recorded (except for a slight background vocal change) is just criminal.

The sax riff in "Baker Street" is probably the most recognized sax in the last fifty years.

To simply blow it out your ass in a wimpy smooth jazz way is atrocious.

  • this isnt baker street, it's "you've got a friend"

  • Typo.sorry. " IT was awesome" was what I meant to type

  • When Michael played the River Raisin Jazz fest he was playing and it started pouring the rain and the audience did not move...and he kept on playing through it. I was awesome and I have never heard a better sounding player

  • you guys should see the real interveiw to this

  • michael lington has a way better sound

  • oh wow!!..that was beautiful! not very often u get to hear two greats play together!

  • you can tell that they both have a passion for saxophone and music by their body language when they play, its GREAT! a lot of people just play but not them

  • i think koz fancies him a little

  • They're playing You've Got a Friend, by James Taylor.

  • hi do you know what kind of ligature dave is using on his alto sax? if you know, pls let me know.. i'll really appreciate it.. thanks!

  • nope, sorry.

  • What song r they playing

  • Dave Koz is amazing and Michael Lington is also brilliant.

  • love Michael Lington. He was the main reason why I watched Dave Koz's At the Movies Hollywood Bowl concert. Love Pacifica and Hey You

  • Great sax playing in the end. Dave Koz and Michael Lington are one of my influeces in Smooth Jazz music.

  • you are so right. Hey i see your name in a lot of jazz response comments. What type of jazz music are you into?

  • i listen to smooth jazz, straight ahead and big band.
