  • i fell in love with this song all over again!

  • Less Pattison on bass, the late Peter De Freitas on drums.

As mentioned elsewhere, this track is one of 4 on the "Shine So Hard" EP which reached 37 in the UK charts.

The tracks from the EP are featured on the 25th anniversary reissue of the album Crocodiles

  • Whoever the bass player on this song is, he deserves the greatest praise.

  • There was no one to touch them in the early 80s...

  • This is off the "SHINE SO HARD" film thats just been released.

  • He dances like a neurotic sixth-former on his third cider whilst attempting early Mick Jagger.

    They're a crackin' band though..

  • love this...what a drummer. x

  • 'sqwertery' This is i believe.,,,the best live recording iv,e ever heard...not on 'YOUTUBE' but the 'live' E.P. they brought out of this recording ,nothing else has sounded has good ...!!!!!!!

  • The legendary camoflouge :D Love this band <3

  • what?! amazing!!!

  • "The World is a prettier place, when you got something to take"

  • "party in the sky when you die" look down at all the shit in this world

  • I WAS THERE

  • Fuck yes......

  • derbyshire 1981

  • Saw them around this time a few times during the camo era which lasted just a few months really but the effect was pretty awesome and they had a sound that was so unique it was so easy to see they would influence many many bands to come. Truely a great rock and roll band.

  • This when they were the best band in the world.....Their Whisky a Go Go shows were incredible!

  • @superbawestside1 can't argue with that!

  • just back from gig at roundhouse shit unfortutaly, mix all wrong and too many in the band. \like a rock out tribute band

  • Think this is recorded at Buxton pavillion in October 79 top tune

  • Post-punk preppy!!! LUV THIS SONG!!

Wow! Looking back we were a bunch of kool kids!! My aunt played me this album when she was 12 and I was 7!

Finally met Ian when I was 22 and got a nice french kiss too!

  • love the bunnymen, RIP Pete de Freitas

  • great performance. smoking a cigarette while performing is about as bad ass as you can get. i love this band

  • The Bunnymen did have commercial success they had a number of top 20 hit's and 2 or 3 made top 10 UK charts, A great live band

  • one of the early 80's best bands for sure.... luckliy no commercial success for that would hve ruined them

  • Love those 80's, reminds me alot of Richard Butler of the Psyhcedelic Furs, from the clothes, to the foot steps and cigarette.

  • British music at its very best. I dont think you would ever get a better live version of a song anywhere.

  • A small part of the rock history. We loved Liverpool through this big band

  • omg is that a ciggarette?! god i missed the days when that was common.

  • their class is unreachable!

  • Hard to believe these kids had minimal equipment and yet produced such atmospheric sound. this was before the full onslaught of the digital age. Will Sergeant literally had maybe 1 or 2 analog pedals and that was about it! most guitar players nowadays wank away on 20 or so stompboxes and cant even touch the texture of the likes of this. go figure. it is called "soul" and "inventivness".

  • @MaestroZ or simply put, it's called talent.

  • This is the single greatest bit of music ever made. The song on the album is blah! But this particular version is the greatest music ever made by man. God himself could not create a better tune than this. With this song, human beings have finally contributed something to the universe. I swear, nothing from another galaxy can match this. This is raw power that is not matched by any band.

  • live in Buxton Derbyshire 1981

  • echo and the bunnymen crocodiles live in Derbyshire 1983

  • rock and roll ¡¡¡¡

  • One of the greatest English guitar bands at their absolute peak. How incredible is Will's guitar playing on this??? I've heard bands with two or three guitarists not be able to match him sonically. Pete and Les were an astonishing rhythm section too, much missed I think. And Mac always had the chops, lucky bleeder...

  • This has just made my dog absolutely "APESHIT"!!!

    well done you bunnies!!!

( ...She normally only freaks out to Alice Cooper)....Hates the Beatles though....

  • If this song was released today...it would be an instant hit STILL!!!

  • I would have to agree, LONG LIVE THE BUNNYMEN!!

  • indeed!! good point!

  • the only negative thing i can say about this is that Ian looks like he needs to eat something......

  • The "camo" era 80/81 no one could touch them live at that time

  • I've never seen the video of this, only had Shine So Hard to listen to. One of the best ever live performances of any band. Greatness!

  • wow brill.the master sings.

  • great performance, great quality, long live them bunnymen!!!!

  • Bought the Shine so hard EP when it came out... Great to see this after all these years!!! Still on of the best bands ever. Nice one :-)

  • Yeah, a bit posh Ian! Other than that, these guys deliver forever!

  • amazing performance!!!! this has many new parts. pete de freitas is a fantastic drummer, will sergeant is a rock painter, les pattinson plays a strong bass and mac is a brilliant new wave or post-punk jim morrison (but the sweater looks a bit posh!)

  • "Shine So Hard" was a great tape, I was real happy when it was on the remixed Rhino disc of "Crocodiles". Thanks for posting this!

  • One of my fave memories of early MTV. I've waited twenty-five years to see this video again.

  • Brilliant to see this again

Same as on 'Shine So Hard'

5 minutes of the best music of the last 25 years

  • The last of the great bands of the now bygone rock era. simply awesome.

  • oh fuckin YES !!!
