  • @Figsak not bagging on anyone, but have you listened to tool? its tons of random lines like that. it may mean nothing, it may mean alot, though you may never know. look, there's another one....

  • @thatbastardson Yes, there have been catchy songs with terrible lyrics since the first cavemen figured out how to use the electric guitar.

I always use Ozzy as my prime example of this. When I was a kid, I LOVED Ozzy. When I grew up, and started listening to the lyrics, I couldn't ever enjoy an Ozzy song again.

As for Tool, they tend to write lines that are vague and seemingly weird. With Seether, they were just looking for a few lines that rhymed, and hurried back to the hook.

  • veruca salt LMAO

  • Always were poser wannabes...

  • Terrible song-writing, yet a catchy hook.

  • @Figsak I'm not gonna give you a hate comment:I'm just going to respectfully disagree with you. I think it's better than just about any song to come out in recent months. Respectful disagreement-- no trolling.

  • Great Days the 90's. Before all the Gaga Crap!!

  • cats ,cats everywhere

  • I liked them like this.... in jeans and tees ...then they had to try and get all cute and shit. I like my rocker chicks to be well.......rocker chicks

  • I said when I was younger that I would never be one of those people that talked about how great the past was...and I do like music today (not the mainstream crap tho)...but... Oh, the 90's!! I miss the 90's! I never thought I'd say that, but I do! I don't care that I'm 30 now, because the time I grew up in was pretty damn awesome

  • Great tune, I haven't heard it for a long time

  • Drain S.T.H was the best all female band of the 90s.

  • If Paramore would just bugger off, and this lot would come back, the radio waves would be so much better, lol! This is what REAL rock chicks do, not friggin' Avril Lavigne, Taylor Momsen, Hayley Paramore or Amy Evanescence - they are just wanna-bes!

  • @LlewelynLaVista666 Amy Lee is the only one I disagree with. Yes she's commercial nowadays but her music doesn't suck just because she isn't new anymore. I think shes as viable as PJ Harvey, Bjork, Tori Amos or heres one for you Hope Sandoval hell people even hate Ani diFranco and whether shes gay, straight ,single,or married she has hits and misses.

  • Drummer looking at bassist: "Hmm...two dudes, two chicks...I'm a like'n my chances here!"

  • Which one is Kim and which one is Kelly? Oh, hang on....

  • @brack909 simple which one disappeared after drug charges lol

  • YES x 3.14

  • song still kicks :)

  • i search seether for the band.. and i find this ._. but it's good..

  • @TutorialesAqua Actually, the band's name was inspired by this song. Nothing wrong with this choice, cause it's fucking badass.

  • @PLPietrek11 Uhm NO the band was named after the Awful Bitch girl in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Were you even around before 94? lmao. In case you forget shes the " Bad Egg" in the original. Look it up. No Depp, Just original Gene Wilder doing it Awesome!

  • @chaozchild I meant the name of the band Seether, not Veruca Salt.

  • @PLPietrek11

    no, it's Veruca Salt!

  • The song "Seether" is about Cats, whores, & drugs

  • @Booze129 Well, actually it is about this girl that gets really angry supposedly.

  • love girls that dont were make up you can see there real faces

  • this isn't seether wtf

  • @scando1444 dude, its a song called seether, by the kickass girl band veruca salt.

  • It's been 18 years, and....nope. This song still sucks ass.

  • It's funny, looks like their trippn with the cats in the black n white footage. Their all zoned out lookn. Good 90's tune, reminds me of MTV day's when they actually played music vids. Peace420

  • Something fucking happened to mainstream music, it turned to shit

  • @Deango2 Yeah, people got lazy, stopped writing their own songs and playing their own instruments.

  • Luv this song !!

  • YES!!!

  • 72 people tried to fight the seether.

  • Apparently, this song makes my family think of me. I don't mind.

  • Just chillin jamming to this in the studio it was recorded at. No Biggie.

  • Pause at 1:20

  • my buddy had a Hi-Ace, we pretended it was the A team van.

  • Her voice kinda sounds like Kim Deal.. in a good way.

  • @GorillazBeatles Is there a bad way to sound like Kim Deal!?

  • @clockwork2345 Not at all.. that's why I love this so much... :)

  • 1994 was my best year!

  • lolcats!!

  • I hate Pitbull.

  • Ahh a great rocking tune from the 90s! Come to think of it, this is why I dig the hives song "hate to say I told you so" since they practically ripped off the guitar riff.

  • These guys r hot! Makes me wanna go gay! LOL

  • @909830 .......................ooooookkkk

  • @909830 Yeah.. but they're chicks.

  • @xXNirvanaLithiumXx

    Maybe 909830 is too.

  • The 90s were a strange decade for the way we group men & women in music. We valued men as a group in the form of a POP boy band. Whereas, with women, we valued them as a ROCK girl band. Somehow, those formulas and set ups worked for that time.

  • @cherrybombx27 No, this was the first half of the 90's. Starting around 97-98 popular culture got lame and people like Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys came into popularity. Pop music was dead for the first half of the 90's and music of substance was the mainstream. I think there's a correlation between digital recording replacing analog and the death of good music, because that's what was happening as well at the time. Now Pro Tools digital recording and bullshit music is the norm.

  • Dog smile at 0:55 rocks

  • I want to get high.

  • cant fight the seether! love this song.

  • If I could go back in time I would love to go back to the 90's because they had such great music like this and of course because I was younger too. I need to invent a time machine man I know I would be happier in a better time the cool grunge alternative years.

  • They all look like a bunch of greasy junkies.

  • @SpeedOfDark186Kmps Fuck yeah. That was what it was all about man. ;-)

  • 2 chicks sporting Gibsons are always sexy disregarding the era. Cheers ladies :)

  • @Skyedward1313 efing AAaa

  • You know I was thinking. If it wasn't for are youth there would be no tomorrow. Rock on boys and girls. It's you that keeps are future alive!!!! Thank you for being heartbeat of life. I love you guys.

  • I was an angry young teenage girl when this song came out. It was my theme song

  • I heard when they played Seattle at the chorus "can't fight the seethe" the crowd was singing "sounds like the breeders" which it does.

  • she is singing about when she is PMSing. Its what she calls the bitch that emerges out of her for the 3-5 days she is pmsing. Dont ask me why I remember this but I heard the writer say so on a rock radio interview in Seattle in the 90's.

  • This deserves more views! Like if you agree.

  • quen fai o cosido?????

  • are you singing about your cats are your girlfreinds pussy?i liked the song to

  • A couple of years ago triple j did a top 100 songs voted by the public (mostly women, young women). There were zero female acts in that 100. Thing is, if music is getting worse, why does this sound just as shit as it always did, sounds like a bad high school band. Now most female acts rely on selling their sex rather than talent, because that is totally void.

  • @Klistern2 Irony is that the girls in this band (at least whenever this video came out) aren't bad looking.

  • Ahh back when music was good.

  • Comment removed

  • I can't fight this either.

  • {SPOILER}

    Seether's Louise.

  • @FablesOnPaper THANKS FOR RUINING VOLCANO GIRLS FOR ME! Thanks alot. I was so excited about the big reveal of Who is the Seether? It is a question that has kept me up at night for nearly 15 years. 15 years! gone....

  • 1:20 ... so sexy!

  • I love this kind of music and now I realize just how hard it is to write this kind of music and lyrics. All respect to the men and women of the 1990s.

  • 90s music was so organic unlike now that music s so over produced as far as the sound

  • @javoneybaby You are absolutely correct. Everything is waaaay over-produced these days. Some producers think it's actually neccessary to use 30 tracks on one song. A song will have 3 guitar parts in it...when there's only one guitarist in the band. All of those will be overdubbed. Combine that with duplicated and overdubbed vocals, and you get an assload of noise with no way of discerning the rhythm section...which is the most important part of any song.

  • Rockeras Ricas!

  • 90s foreverrrrrrrrr. Let's all hop in my Toyota Tercel and listen to some Veruca Salt while drinking Surge. Don't forget your pagers! :D

  • @MysticalPopTart And a great name for a band.

  • CAN'T FIGHT THE SEETHER WHATEVER THAT MEANS
