I played Shooting Guard for my Recreation Center but I had the skill to be a Point Guard but i only totaled 7 points last season so no one will give me a chance but i got so much better. The All Star Game was Saturday and i started as Shooting Guard but the Point gut hurt so I stepped in and had a 16 pts 9 ast 3 reb and 1 blk and 5 stls and was named MVP of the Game and it was all thanks to this vid. I ALWAYS get made fun of in EVERY sport I play since I'm 13 and 5'1 but I make up for it when I'm on the court owning my friends! Seriously height doesn't matter,I take it as a compliment and being small gives you more play time in theory because they need the short and fast players on the court. (unless you're really chubby) keep playing and have self-confidence guys and girls!!!! Practice make progress!

One thing, point guards don't always do those passes, they play efficiently. If they have an open mid range jumper, they should always take it. So shooting skills and finishing at the basket are some skills that even a Point Guard needs.

@thewordlessbook1 Usually your coach picks your position. Taller stronger players usually play center or power forward. The best shooter on the team usually plays shooting guard. Small forwards are mainly power forwards but shorter. and point guards have the best dribbling skills {they have to do alot of dribbling} and good passing skills.
