@RodmanIsASadPanda-I think that is the opposite. Abel's combo video was first, then Chun-Li's. Abel did the infinite on Chun-Li, then on Chun-Li's combo video, she did the infinite on Abel.

The infinite? I think it showed up in some random Japanese niconico video first. I don't even know where it came from since all the goons who uploaded it to their u2b channels never bothered crediting the author.

Anyway they only showed like two or three reps max. Like i said in the explanation, it's not my favorite combo in the video but i couldn't not show it in an Abel TACV.

Hey Maj, great vid. I was thinking another cool way to end that last combo on chun is do the FA3, then the FA2 like you did and then wait a second and do FA1 -> dash -> ultra instead of doing the typical Cr. FP launch into ultra.

the last combo should have been done in reverse order, though it would have taken much longer. Do the infinite then end with

cod (first hit)-> FADC -> c.HP -->cancel second hit into COD (juggle) >FADC -> ultra

Like I said, virtually impossible. Sure you might be able to pull off one of them in a match but your execution has to be ridiculously on point and you've gotta have some impossibly fast hands.

And he shows these combos because it's fun to see what's possible with the game engine. Why not bend the game a little bit for fun? It's got 5 stars so people obviously enjoy watching this kind of stuff. I love it.

It's perfectly possible to do these in a real match, it's just inhumanly difficult and not all that practical. The point of these is to show different ways of linking or using attacks that no one's thought of before, which opens up new strategies or tricks. In some cases though, they just look really cool.

Well, "Virtually impossible" is an exaggeration. I always aim for virtually impossible but i'm sure expert Abel players can perform almost all of these combos except for the last one.

The others contain like 3-4 one-frame links each, which is totally reasonable. It might take twenty, thirty tries but yeah, if you happen to land the setups in a match, the rest is definitely possible.

You maybe right about being "Able" to kill her... If he put the heavier hits at the start nearer the end/middle of the combo then their heavier stun reduction may have caused her to dizzy at a lower health point to alow ultra to kill. Or maybe not, as the heavier damage reduction could cause stun to kick in when her health was too high. Problem is - I'm not good enough to find out/not into programing controllers :-D

Normally your combos are very hard to perform/repeat, although you have some very strict timings shown here, these combos are way easier than in the other videos

mostly because of a repitition, for a player human it's easier to perform the same 1-framer link certain times in a row than in a critical situation once

Abel's (much like Fuerte's) game lies almost entirely in his ability to mix up on wake up. In fact it's pretty much been agreed upon that besides El Fuerte, Abel is the scariest person to get knocked down by. Not mention he is one of very few characters that has a very long range Ultra Set up... jump kick, that combos into step kick, that links to s.HP which you can turn into an ultra set up.

I mained Akuma for the longest time but after I picked up Abel I realized he was made for me.

His mix ups are amazing and his ability to control most guessing games in a fight makes him a real problem for a lot of characters. I also think he's one of the most viable counter picks for shotos ( except turtling Akumas).

Try him. It's worth it. If nothing else, you'll be satisfied when you mind fuck your opponent so bad he Rage Quits. ;)

I could've killed her but the problem is he can't build up enough meter to FADC so i'd be stuck doing the infinite until the end. So i decided to go with the ultra instead because otherwise ultra wouldn't be in the video at all.

Anyway the other combos are more interesting, i think.

I think it's supposed to work on Rufus too but it's definitely character-specific. Not to mention impossibly difficult. Two one-frame links per rep and each rep is only doing 20 damage before lifebar scaling.
