i guess you were lookin to lock horns by raising my cyberhackles w/your comment cheamclimber.i will oblige.take all you want-but enjoy all you take.aparently you dont think much of "sport" climbing.too bad for you.this isnt scarface at smith rocks-it isnt run out-its not THAT hard to clip the bolts yourself.if i can haul my outa-shape/old/potbellied/manboob ass up it-so can you whippersnappers.
haha... I wasnt trying to lock horns lol. I was just pointing out that on sport climbs it isnt considered poor style to have the draws pre-placed in most areas. In Trad climbing having protection pre-placed is called pinkpointing and is not good style. I really do enjoy sport climbing. Its a good way to climb hard and challenge yourself physically without having to worry about protection and injury.
cheamclimber, your profile says age 26-yet you claim to be 15-WTF? which is it? anyway,10yrs ago the word trad did not exist-i shit you not.if you are climbing a crack at a CRAG then you are technically climbing for SPORT.the word "pinkpoint" refers to preplaced draws-NOT gear. and yes it IS considered poor style.i like how youre telling me-someone who has been climbing for twenty freakin years-how it all works.when you use the word "TRAD" your ignorance is showing.
Im sorry for being so ignorant... obviously i am completely inferior to you and have nothing useful to say.... and btw im 15 but made my age older so i wouldnt have dumb restrictions on my account.

why are the quickdraws preplaced?

does it matter? its a sport climb...

We took turns lead climbing the route. When you pull the rope, the draws stay on the bolts. But you already know this! So why ask the question?
