anyways i ordered a flotec 1hp sump pump today that has a diff type of electriconic water sensor on it from home depot its pretty new on the market so hope to see what it does :)
i bought the ridgid 1000 sps 1 hp in 2009 the water sensor has to be constanly kept cleaned are it makes the pump run constantly abouy three times a week clean life time warrranty is a joke ridgid wouldnt stand by there product home depot is discon. carry the pump see reviews at home depot anyways the pump did serve its purpose cause reg pumps at my house burn up 3 to 4 mech switches a year n motor burns out in a year or two the pump died today motor seiezed lasted 2 years n three months
hey.. just a tip if those rigids burn out let me know beacuse i have a zoller that will get the job done ten times better.. i used to use rigids mut had to replace one like every 2-3 months...... ive had this zoller for over 2 years now and the basement has not flooded once!!!
@Audioquest56 I had the 1hp rigid for 2 years....worked fine for the first 1 year, now it overheats in 10min and barely pumps water out (lifetime warranty is BS)....buying the Zoeller M98 this week, hopefully the reviews are true.
@deelnyc I just installed the Zoeller M98 myself. You can barely hear it when it turns on and it is incredibly powerful. Compared to my old Flotec 1/2hp pump, it clears the pit in half the time. You will not be disappointed in the Zoeller.

You should have stuck with Zoeller. They're bulletproof.
Nice job though.

my question would be is your backup able to pump the distance?
CVRealMan 1 year ago
@CVRealMan Yes Sir. It is a 1/3 hp backup pump and it has no problem getting the water out.
