anyone know whats wrong with my computer, i have a HP pavillion with XP on it, when i try to do a system restore to factory settings, i click on restore and it reboots to the system restore page but as soon as the page comes up after a bout 2 seconds the screen goes black and the computer just restarts, i've done system restore to factory before with no problems, and i did have a few viruses on it but not sure if they are cause or is their something corupt, plese help
Unfortunately this is for people that wish to learn endless dos commands with success depending on that knowledge. Windows can and does fail all the time. A simple solution is to have a clone your hard drive to a slave drive with Acronis. Do it once a week at least. Then when windows does fail, you don't have 3 days work to fix or do a reinstall.
lmao, I'm trying to extend the partition of my system volume (C:) so that it uses all the space on my physical drive. Since diskpart won't do it when Windows is loaded, I tried to use diskpart in the Recovery Console. Unfortunately the RC diskpart program is completely different from the one on Windows and it has essentially no useful options. I can't even find a proper tutorial on how to create an NTFS boot disc that doesn't require a floppy. Microsoft, you are an epic failure. Go die.
hey i got a new one when i select recovery console i get disk read error press ctrl+alt+del to restart and every time i do it says the same thing, can anyone please help?
i really need your help i was partitioning my drive with the back up files in it recovery ones i did make a spare disk anway and i couldn't start my computer up and it said master boot error or something like that i put the cd and it took me to the windows xp recovery console what options in windows xp recovery console shell i do to make my pc start up and work please help me!!
Sorry, the original MP4s were crystal clear, but by the time I upload them to YouTube and it compresses them, they aren't so legible. Do you know of a compressed format that renders text well? I am experimenting with different combinations. Anyways, the command is:
e:\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons
to install recovery console to your hard drive, where "e" is the letter of the drive that holds the Windows CD. Alternatively it may be run from the disk.
i have a computer that wont boot up windows xp pro i have the disk but i can only run it on safe mode can i still make a boot disk on safe mode
