  • i like this....

  • @ImaFez :D !

  • Are you using a coated G1 for the snare? How do the Etched J1's compare in sound to the G Plus tom heads . Thanks.

  • @SONORSQ2guy That sure is a coated G1, as for J1's on toms versus the GPlus. You get a little less smack out of them, they're pretty warm, they'd be awesome for jazz. Pretty resonant that's for sure. GPlus is a little more agressive but a similar tone

  • holy crap. not only is he an amazing drummer, he's an amazing teacher! (nice groove on the bleed kick rhythm at the end.) i'm more impressed with each video i watch and each song i hear.

  • @SirAlaska Thank you so much! I really appreciate that!! :)

  • Very informative Aaron. Thanks.

  • @SnyderRon No problem, thanks for watching! :)

  • whats that stack on your right?

  • @alzhaimar That's two Hammerax HellBell Crashes (21" and 24") stacked on top of each other. I call it my HellStack :)

  • @aaronedgardrum ahh thanks, its going to be difficult to get them here in germany

  • @alzhaimar Possibly, but I know they have a bunch of new dealer contracts, so maybe not as hard as you think!

  • @aaronedgardrum nice, just saw that capital drums berlin already has boomywangs and photon splashes . . . so great stuff

  • @alzhaimar Awesome!! You need both of those things :D

  • accidental splash at 5:20 ftw :p loved the meshuggah action

  • @Speedsta14 :D oh hell yeah! I'm surprised it took me this long to include meshuggah into one of my videos, now that I think about it :P

  • The sweet mistress known as poly is still kickin my ass, but your vids have helped me get the basic feel for her

  • @BurnThePope0514 Yeah, she's a nasty little bitch, but you'll tame her!! :)

  • Man, I LOVE these lessons! It's a tad hard for me though, i've only been drumming for 6 years and it's a bit of an info cram, haha.

  • @Oli4drums That's awesome man! It's pretty sweet that you're diggin' em! If you want some similar stuff that goes a little more into detail about each part, check the videos I annotated during this one, there's more about time signatures and polyrhythms!

If your annotations are off, just go to my channel and scroll down to my play lists, watch some of the time signature videos and the polyrhythms videos from the start! :)

  • I remember your firsts videos, now you're getting a lot more views.. and you deserved..

Cheers bro, I hope you remember me!

  • @TheCommonDelusion Thanks man! I'm pumped you're still watching! And of course I remember you :)

  • @aaronedgardrum Really nice to know.. I think, if you put some midi drum files on your website would be really helpfull, even in guitar pro format so all of us can hear the grooves all the time we need, bc you know, not all of us know how to read the transcription :P

  • @TheCommonDelusion Dude, that's actually a FANTASTIC idea... You might be seeing that in the future ;)

  • Thanks Aaron! Keep it happening!

  • @onlinedrummer You know it! :)

  • @afterlifestudiosHFA Thanks a ton man! :) That's definitely one of my favorite things about the Hammerax stuff. And Andrew and I have been friends for years! Great guy :D

  • hudson music's facebook send me here, youre awesome! I subscribed!

  • @kevinyo4 Wicked!! Thanks man! :)

  • Loving the video man, went and applied it right to the kit, sounds epic :D

  • @axedstoninst Perfect! Modify the beats yourself and post me a response if you would like! :D

  • @aaronedgardrum sadly I can't do that, camera = buttfucked :\ i'll mess around with it some though :D

  • @axedstoninst Ah fair enough! Well, either way, I'm stoked you're using the stuff!

  • cool stuff,master

  • hey forget the white background, everything is so green

  • @deathwurst Thanks man! Yeah, I'm diggin' my walls, I don't know why I never really thought to do that before haha. :P

  • You got new heads, what Evans series are they?

  • @SONORSQ2guy I sure did! But this is actually a completely different kit than usual. This one is an S-Classix and the heads are J1 Etched with G1 clear bottoms. Kick is an EMAD with an EQ1 Frosted (batter) as a resonant. Gong drum, as always is EQ1 clear!

  • @aaronedgardrum So are you sponsored by Evan's now?

  • @iLoveAltNation Sure am :)

  • What hammerax cymbals make up that awesome stack?

  • @SonorityRule That, my friend I call the "Hell Stack" It's a 21" and 24" HellBell on top of each other. I'm doing a video just on that at some point before I swap kits in a couple weeks. :)

  • thanks aaron,,,,,and hey from nashville

  • @powaowa Thank my awesome girlfriend for that! I said paint me some weird crap, she came back at me with this :D

  • DUDE!!! nice video as usual. what's up with the new kit though? i'm really digging it

  • @br3ign Thanks bro! It's actually an older kit of mine, it's an S-Classix. As far as I know, it's the first one in Canada when they were released in 2007. :D

  • though i can't play lots of the beats in here(yet :D) i found lots of tips and ideas that i can use in my playing. thanks man

  • @c0d3x001 That's wicked dude! If you peruse through the time signature and polyrhythm videos (especially the first couple) you'll find some other similar stuff you can probably play too! :D

  • @aaronedgardrum yeah to me drumming is like sudoku... you look for the stuff you know and see what you need to add to get where you want to(if that makes) so i'm slowly working my way through through your ideas here...

  • @c0d3x001 *(if that makes sense)... i hate when im tired and i just forget words ^^

  • @c0d3x001 That totally makes sense! And I LOVE Sudoku! I used to slay Sudoku nightly between sets at gigs on my phone when I was younger!

  • solid Aaron and great explications...love your technique Take care ! always come back for the basic rythm and inspired young drummers the importance to know polyrythm. Sorry to how I distribute my worlds in english llölllll Daniel...have a great day !

  • @dhoudedrums Thanks man! You take care as well, polyrhythms certainly are a blast to incorporate into your playing!

  • Appreciate all your tips mate!!!!....keep up the great work.

  • @plemyk Awesome man, thank you so much for the support! :)
