@SONORSQ2guy That sure is a coated G1, as for J1's on toms versus the GPlus. You get a little less smack out of them, they're pretty warm, they'd be awesome for jazz. Pretty resonant that's for sure. GPlus is a little more agressive but a similar tone
holy crap. not only is he an amazing drummer, he's an amazing teacher! (nice groove on the bleed kick rhythm at the end.) i'm more impressed with each video i watch and each song i hear.
@Oli4drums That's awesome man! It's pretty sweet that you're diggin' em! If you want some similar stuff that goes a little more into detail about each part, check the videos I annotated during this one, there's more about time signatures and polyrhythms!
If your annotations are off, just go to my channel and scroll down to my play lists, watch some of the time signature videos and the polyrhythms videos from the start! :)
@aaronedgardrum Really nice to know.. I think, if you put some midi drum files on your website would be really helpfull, even in guitar pro format so all of us can hear the grooves all the time we need, bc you know, not all of us know how to read the transcription :P
@afterlifestudiosHFA Thanks a ton man! :) That's definitely one of my favorite things about the Hammerax stuff. And Andrew and I have been friends for years! Great guy :D
@SONORSQ2guy I sure did! But this is actually a completely different kit than usual. This one is an S-Classix and the heads are J1 Etched with G1 clear bottoms. Kick is an EMAD with an EQ1 Frosted (batter) as a resonant. Gong drum, as always is EQ1 clear!
@SonorityRule That, my friend I call the "Hell Stack" It's a 21" and 24" HellBell on top of each other. I'm doing a video just on that at some point before I swap kits in a couple weeks. :)
@br3ign Thanks bro! It's actually an older kit of mine, it's an S-Classix. As far as I know, it's the first one in Canada when they were released in 2007. :D
@c0d3x001 That's wicked dude! If you peruse through the time signature and polyrhythm videos (especially the first couple) you'll find some other similar stuff you can probably play too! :D
@aaronedgardrum yeah to me drumming is like sudoku... you look for the stuff you know and see what you need to add to get where you want to(if that makes) so i'm slowly working my way through through your ideas here...
solid Aaron and great explications...love your technique Take care ! always come back for the basic rythm and inspired young drummers the importance to know polyrythm. Sorry to how I distribute my worlds in english llölllll Daniel...have a great day !

Are you using a coated G1 for the snare? How do the Etched J1's compare in sound to the G Plus tom heads . Thanks.
