god people, i would much rather have an M16 over a SCAR, the SCAR has horrible recoil, shooting an M16 is like shooting a .22 LR, u can get more rounds on target. also, the M16 fires WAAAAAAY faster and has more muzzle velocity. the only reason the SCAR is used by SOCOM is because its a great 7.62 mm platform, they rejected the SCAR Light becus the M16 is simply a better assault rifle in 5.56.

@marinogomez619 no its not. it is a BATTLE RIFLE. NOT AN ASSAULT RIFLE, they are for two totally different purposes. Assault rifles are for close quarters battle and mid range combat. Battle rifles are for mid to long range combat. use a battle rifle in CQB and ur frikin screwed.

the FNSCAR-h in MW2 is by far the best all around rifle in MW2, accuracy, decent rate of fire, high velocity dmg, and occasionally its basic but awesome history/ look. IDK why ppl use the ACR, yeah sure bushmaster made it but in MW2 they make it like a pee shooter

the gas operated system of the Kalashnikov's (ak47,74,104/3) is on par with that.

@PinoyPogiman actually magpul is a real gun company, they simply have a PTS division for airsoft. Magpul designs many real rifle accessories, and its recently gone into full scale rifle design, though no production yet, there is reason to believe they soon will go into rifle production though. You are totally right on the M16 operation system though, i mean direct gas impingment is really the best.

and the M4/M16/SCA(Scar uses the same lower reciver of the Colt's) has the best weapon system around, not entirely the most esquisite looking rifle, but the best shooting one in my opinion.

the AK47 which i like its history and its origins, has a environmentally reliable system from the 40's-to-still today.

Secondly, the SCAR fires a NATO round regardless of which caliber it's configured to fire. To specify the 5.56 as NATO then to omit it when saying 7.62 means you probably think it fires the AK round, which it doesn't. Uh, the HK416 is one of THE most overrated guns I've ever seen. Not worth the money. ALL it is is a PISTON DRIVEN AR15 with an HK logo slapped onto it. Piston Driven AR15s have been around since the 80s, probably earlier. It's a very popular mod to due to AR15s. The SCAR is also piston driven, and proved MORE reliable than the 416 in the Army's desert stress test. (curved magwell). Not to mention the SCAR-L is lighter! Oh and SOCOM uses it. Win

Thats not the purpose of a folding stock. The point of a folding stock is to have a more compact weapon for storage or when you're in a vehicle. If I'm in a humvee, its a lot easier to stow away my gun if the stock folds/collapses. Even more so if I have less space, like in a tank or helicopter.
