I don't think Tina has turned her back or ashamed about where she came from. Actually she's still singing about Nutbush, remember? It's just that there were lots of pain in her past. even as a little child and as a wife to Ike Turner. She's a very religious person, you know.

I always wondered why Miss Turner never went back to Tennessee to help the people there. Nutbush is a town now. Her and Eartha Kitt seem to be ashamed of where there from and try to talk like there from England. I love both of them but I think if God gives you a blessing you should share it.
