What is it with people needing to mention their age when saying they like older music? Like being born in the 90's or 00's means it's a prerequisite to like chart music. We usually like what our parents listen to.
I am glad that they found back to a real drum sound after the horrible Invisible Touch album. Nothing beats the 70s-Genesis, but I Can't Dance is better than everything since Duke. This song reminds me of Mama sometimes, by the way.
CONSIDERO QUE "GENESIS" FUE Y SERA UNA MUY BUENA BANDA MUSICAL. TENIENDO EN CUENTA EL CAMBIO DE LA MUSICA "POP". BUENO SERIA VOLVER A TENER UNA BANDA PARA VER Y ESCUCHAR MUSICA EN RECITALES. "EXELENT"!!!
I first discovered Genesis in 1972, attended my first of more than 20 concerts in 1974, and still rate them as my favorite band of all time. I also have a large collection of Ant Phillips, Peter Gabriel, Mike Rutherford, Steve Hackett, Tony Banks, and Phil Collins solo efforts. I am now 59 and wouldn't trade those concert experiences or the music for anything.
This song off of the last studio Genesis album featured this song which was parallel to a No Jackets Required classic "I Don't Care Anymore" about getting to a place of no return in a relationship.
@happyhoman I Don't Care Anymore was off Phil's second full LP, "Hello, I Must Be Going". There was also a similar song on his first album called "If Leaving Me Is Easy".
@GenesisFanatic110 I actually liked "Calling All Stations"....a very underrated album. Sure, I missed Phil....but Mike and Tony did Genesis proud IMO.

Genesis is like fine wine: Their music gets better by age.

@ladyjerrico
second song of Genesis I love to sing to. I love the music my parents are listening to. I´m just 19 by the way. This music has a huge affect on me.

@FanofFunStuff This is certainly a powerful song lyrically speaking. I was 15 when I first got into Genesis, I'm 38 now.

@happyhoman Actually, according to Mike (who wrote the lyrics), it's about a hit-and-run driver. Great song.

it is such a good song and good album. Genesis went out on a high note.

@drumfreek31 What about "Calling All Stations"? I don't really consider that a "high note"!
