For those that don't understand, this plane is demonstrating slowflight. But, since the winds are so strong here, the aircraft is able to demonstrate slow flight at a much slower ground speed than normal, because it has a strong enough headwind to keep it airborne. Basically instead of a the engines propelling the plane forward causing air to flow over the wings creating lift, the wind is blowing fast enough to create tons of lift on its own.

If you were to go up in a single engine plane in these conditions you could technically fly backwards because the winds are strong enough to keep you airborne and push you backwards at the same time.

@maxter04ify They are testing other fuel sources for airplanes.. One of them is biogas, which is working.. So Mr. pilot can still do his little tricks

Ceci est possible avec un vent de face ,une bonne puissance moteur ,et une parfaite maitrise des commandes
La portance fait le reste
Avec un vent de face suffisant sans changeant de direction brusque ,il est même possible théoriquement de voler à reculons ,quelque soit la taille et le poids de l'avions ,puisque la taille des ailes est calculée pour offrir la portance nécessaire ,a une vitesse d’écoulement d'air donnée
@MyPEDONE Cette manoeuvre est elle parfois executée dans le cadre de l'atterrissage? (j'ai vu un jour un A320 faire ce genre de choses prêt de Mérignac....c'est assez surprenant).

La prise de vitesse au sol sert à obtenir le flux d'air nécessaire à la portance .
Avec le vent dans l'dos ,l'avions devra voler plus vite pour être porté ,avec un vent de face ,moins vite ,etc ..
Prendre un angle important demande encore moins de vitesse ,les 2 conjugués donne ce que l'on vois en video
