if you need another reason to have a Cairn, my 3rd one is 10 years old and acts like a puppy. My last two each lived to be 17 and were almost never sick!
Oh my God that's so cute! My cairn did that when he was younger too.. he especially loved barked at tuna cans. I love how they'll give you that "Is it ok? I just want to protect you" look. Haha!

Cairns are ugly puppies. Shame, they start off that way, but they grow into beautiful fun dogs. I'd post a video of my Cairn, but at age 4 all she likes to do is bark at boy dogs across the fence, promenade around the pool, and play with my kids.
Personally dont think they are ugly puppies but I guess everyone is different! They definately do grow into cracking dogs though! This one is about 10 months old now is just buzzing from morning to night every day!
@1lsheppard I am an idiot because I think they are ugly puppies, or because my beautiful dog has a charming personality? Either way the dislikes and the hate do not make a lot of sense. I am a big fan of the breed, and wouldn't own any other. I am not sure why my innocuous comment gathered dislikes or your two year late response. Anyway, fuck you and happy holidays. I won't reply or read any further comments, so you can have the last word if you want.
haha, my Cairn terrier freaks out at bottles too. except mine actually jumps into the car and pulls bottles out of the cup holders and runs away with them lol.
scooter: I'm watching this video and I don't have a cairn. I don't have a dog at all right now. I don't have the time or space for a dog right now. But soon...I'm looking at different breeds...
So cuuuuuuute! We have a 4-year-old Cairn called Chief (nomen est omen) that looked just like her when he was little! We adore him, Cairns are the best looking, smartest and most endearing little dogs in the world.
Hey Everyone thanks for the comments. Just to give you a little more information: The cairn shown is called Poppy and is currently 5 months old. She is pedigree Red Brindle cairn. I'll try to get more videos of her up as soon as I get the chance, she is still completely crazy!
We have had a cairn before and she was every bit as loveable this one. Thats why we we got another one. This one is called Poppy for anyone who is interested.
anyways the dog is cute

Our Cairn Terrier still barks at bottles and he is 4 years old now. He is a Canadian champion, so I guess it's a breed characteristic!
