Yikes, a single interface? Nooooo. I use three monitors and put the tool menus off to the side monitors so I can use my center monitor just for the image.

@StormyWasHere Go to Windows -> dockable dialogs -> layers.

If you want to know how to rebuild the entire dock, watch my video on how to make gimp look like photoshop. It's explained in there how to customise gimp in any way you want. It's one of the first videos I uploaded.

Close your undo history tab window. Then on your paths tab is a little arrow to the right top of the tab. Click on it. Go to add tab and from there you can add your undo tab again.

Go to windows - dockable dialogs - layers.

Then go to my tutorial called "Make GIMP look like FREE Photoshop part 1" . You don't have to follow it, but it will show how to get your dock back the way it was.
