  • what's the movement like in this game? is there bdc like in tekken? i've never played virtua fighter, but since it's coming out in the summer of next year for console i'm probably gonna pick it up. that's so damn far away though. lol

  • @KKeo4leaR No theres not really a BDC command for multiple BD you can juste BD,FD, back and forth crouch dash also and cancel the dash into one another. Side step in this game is more like an animation. Theres 3 types of horizontal moves . Cicular, semi circular ( must be dodged from the right side and it depends on which feet is in front) and theres straight moves. A successfull side step will ALWAYS work since its lightly animated.....

  • @KKeo4leaR Theres also offensive movement or offensive sidestep which sidesteps a bit and moves you foward at the same time. Teching must be done with the last direction of the grab used + the throw buttons. IN VF theres A LOT of defensive Option selects you can use. Actually that you MUST use. Like ETEG which stands for Evading, throw escape guard. This is done by teching through side step animation and guarding before the end os the animation. Thats just the basis tough.

  • I would definitely get this game if they released an online version for PS3.

  • @Gonbebe summer 2012 is your chance then! I also really wanted this for consoles too!

  • @kakuichi Yeah, funny how I said that and then a few days later they announce it for summer 2012 lol.

  • It would be nice to have translations, but oh well. I'm here to enjoy the fight anyway

  • @akaTRAP91 pretty much, they said if your wearing socks,we'er gonna take them off and rub your barefeet while you sleep, and when you wake up,your gonna be having a puzzled look then gasp that your feet have been exposed and grrrroooppeeed =o

  • A shame how the vid only goes up to 360p. :/

  • awesome shun, fun to watch.

  • i am tekken gamer(since tkken 3), but i will not set aside that vf5 is good game, i'm actually startting practicing VF(with akira)...and its hard to adjust in some aspects, example the guard system , i think VF is not so popular because "you cannot button mash", more complicated like street fighter and KOF

  • @asyo22 I actually don't understand this comment. I feel like button mashing is easier in VF games than in Tekken games, because of the rhythm and specificity of combos in Tekken, I believe it's a bit harder to actually be competent in it. At least, this is my personal experience with both games for some time now.

  • @Ronnock

i dare you bro, in tekken you can spam moves or button mash(like lili, eddy.lee), in VF you cant ,because the movements are limited...thats might be the reason why it is not noob friendly

  • @asyo22 You made a relative argument that is pretty fallible. Get characters like Kage, Lei-Fei, Lau-Chan, Brad, Jacky, and Sarah and you can just as easily spam. I've played both games extensively and I think the premise of the mechanics of Tekken (especially when it comes to certain characters) is less intuitive because of the vast amounts of combos that have a specific input.

  • @Ronnock

the fact that tekken has large and long laster hitboxes makes it much easier to button ash than virtua fighter which is a very precise game, also the footwork is VERY calculated so range is easy to calculate and deal with

  • @Inside7out Ok, you make a valid point about the food work being more three dimensional in VF which I can agree with, but I've not felt that the hit boxes are all that much different from the two games. Unless you mean that the frames are different for the attacks in the game. I am not sure what you're stating.

  • @Ronnock

sorry I meant frames my mistake!

  • @Inside7out Ah! Okay. I definitely agree there as well. The frames in VF seem more precise and more dynamic than Tekken for sure .

  • @Ronnock Wrong..

  • @SDSOverfiend Opinion about an opinion. Shove off buddy.

  • @asyo22 I really don't recommend starting off with Akira. Provided you DON'T start with him, you'll find VF to be even easier than Tekken.

  • Shun Di Vs Kage was epic. So much better to watch good VF players instead of good Tekken players. Looks and sounds so much better.

  • I really hope SEGA opens there eyes & brings this game over to the US.

Never understood why VF5 never had online play on PS3

  • i play tekken, but i also love vf, i would really get into this game if its more popular, and the fucking learning curve is ridiculous

  • Nice, better ring out effect, hit effect and knock out effect. Also previous music from the old games, Man , I want this game!

  • VF all the way

  • @oddish Virtua Fighter shits all over Tekken.

  • @kornymunky

    Truth

  • @oddish what? stop talking

  • @oddish look at this scrub who doesnt know who ZAP is

  • Can you tell me about ZAP, i know nothing about him and im curious.

  • Fantastic matches all around. I wish people outside of Japan gave a shit about this game...

  • @Calcos323 we do that's why there was a big petition to get here..

  • @jazzytrumpet Why the hell do I not know about these things?
