I usually think about my father when I listen to this song. He passed away suddenly & unexpectedly 6 years ago. Untill recently I had no idea that Brett wrote this song for his mother who sadly died of cancer. My father was from Chiswick, West London so Suede's very strong London ambiance that they have in their music ( and this track ) kinda enriches this track for me when I associate it with my late father.
