Growing up in a war zone-East L.A.-years later finding elders

who lived-all of us regretting the killings & dining with each

other & sharing stories-I was fortunate to see a healing

process-both sides together so we could convince youth to put

down the guns. Its one of the most religious-spiritual-uplifting

things you'll ever do. Combatants in Israel & Palestine who

come together in peace have walked with God-together. Those who

still carry guns are walking with Satan: Simple. Choose.

Can you imagine what an example it would set for the world if we were able to find a way to live in peace in Eretz Yisrael? All the pieces of the puzzle are there: a shared monotheistic tradition, a shared land, and shared interests. Perhaps we are closer to actualizing this goal than most people realize. Peace is the answer of course. But it cannot be that simple. Blame is flying everywhere towards both sides, but remember, the Palestinians don't really have a choice but to accept any extremism that brings even hope of a homeland. The Israelis, accept any governmental plan that would bring them a peaceful life. Dare I say it, but our people need to start talking. Israelis and Palestinians have the same vigor when talking about their causes. We need to talk.

Ok we all know you dont "ONLY" protect your country. Not gunna argue with you. Hamas for all intensive purposes stopped fighting israel and went by the ceasefire for 4 months. Israel didnt oblige by its commitment to open up the blockade on gaza and israel started this last war on nov. 4 (us election night) when it attacked gaza. then hamas retaliated and by firing rockets into israel which israel said was hamas breaking the ceasefire and that israel could defend itself.

Israel never really commited to the ceasefire in the first place by not lifting the blockade. Hamas tried its best to adhere .. israel didnt try at all. Those are the facts sorry if you dont agree.

It is true that the Israeli Government didn't honor what Carter and Hamas thought was part of the agreement i.e. allowing a certain amount of trucks in. 350 Palestinians died without getting access to outside medical care. Still, I don't agree with Hamas and launching rockets. It's not a way to negotiate. I don't like what both are doing. There has to be a better way...!

Idk why they dont just make a one state solution. Then have a refurendum for the new states constitution, gov etc etc. It would b a fair compromise. Palestinians get to come back home, israelis get peace, and a real security against other nations because of their mixed pop. We should give peace a chance. Killings are bad. When kids die it is bad. When we stand silent, it is bad. Peace is the only way out. There is no difference between muslims, jews, or christians. At the end of the day, we are all humen looking for a better tomorrow. Killings in Gaza now must stop. I lost my father when I was 7 when Israel shot down a civilian airliner in 1973. I still believe in peace. How many more fathers and whole families must we loose to get it. Peace is the only way out.

this is very nice, there are many peace groups in in Israel. and in the Israeli knesset I think its important that the Arabs will see that and will understand. that no one wants violent. we need a solution, we need free palestine next to a free Israel. two states living in peace (hopefully) side by side
