Demcracy is there to serve the interests of the people - the people's water, their land, their forests - Not a small minority of capitalist cowboys (Gunns and their corresponding international corporations) intent on destroying the welfare of the majority. As for the Law it is an ever changing system. Slavery was once illegal. Women & australian aborigines couldn't vote. THE LAW eventually will be forced to change when it realises the ILLEGALITY of companies such as GUNNS TASMANIA.
People like greenstellies and hazardissean dont even know the meaning of the word Democracy; (literally power of the people). Democracy is there to serve the interests of the people, not the power hungry leaders vying for a stake at the corporate table. As for the Law, it serves who it always serves; the rich and the priviliged, living in their ivory towers, lining their pocket with the fat from the labour of the multiude, and from the plundering of the earth's resources.

If you watch the clip you would have noticed that the peaceful protest involved a wide cross section of the community who feel that they injustices have taken place. You think these people are 'radicals'? Whether you agree with they're position or not, it is not very clever to call yourself greenstellies then deliberately lie yourself. Not very smart at all.
Such a lack of understanding of the legal system in a democratic state. You show your own willingness to impose your beliefs on others with no regard for their rights. Hypocrites.

Democracy is for the people.
A majority is democracy so these small splinter radicals are not a majority.
The police have a job to do and that is to uphold the law.
These so called protestors believe they are above the law.
Keep locking them up and the courts need to dish out harsh sentences to these people that believe their way is the only way.
