  • @Mcarsonisdumb: Uh, actually, imitating someone else's art for practice is a totally legit way to get better, as long as you give credit to the original artist!! In fact, most of the people I know who are really serious about manga got their start by copying their favourite characters/pages. Just saying. :P

  • ya ur gunna be THE BEST MANG ARTIST IN THE HISTORY OF MANGA!!!!!!!!!!

  • name of themanga?? i want to read it online

  • @TheMangaka1998 Then we have same dream x)

  • @Mcarsonisdumb But you could learn from copying pages your art skillz get better. But just for practise and u dont need to be japaneee to be a mangaka either but its kinda important to live in japan too

  • this is really intresting your artwork is even beyond my skills

    thanks for the tips

  • Y'see there's two problems with you becoming a manga-ka

    you're not Japanese

and you're copying another person's work instead of practicing with your own original content.

    HMM.

  • WOW AMAZING !! We will meet in japan because my dream is same as yours. But i thik you will be more popular.

  • whoa very nice, I think yours looks better because of the screentones and ink and stuff

    you should become a mangaka!

  • cool

  • ...i actually think yours looks better. lol

  • Were can you buy screens??

  • subelo al devian como mangate ira bien dibujas genial

  • Awesome :) cool songs too lol

  • very artistic! I love your way of drawing with different techniques!

  • Amazing.

  • never use liner!!!!

  • wow! a work from pro !

  • Why's yours better? o.O

  • awesome :o :)

  • well this looks great ;)

  • these are the best ever :D im jealous XP

  • to draw the characters face, hair etc did you use the same pen

    example : G-pen

  • It takes A LOT of work to draw manga. The difference between me and you is that you've already taken the first giant step! nice work! i'll favorite this vid as a reference to turn to during Christmas break when I dont have any school. Thanks for the vid and tutorial!

  • ...THANKS A LOT!...REALLY!.. WOW! is not enough for this...2 thumbs up pal!

  • i cant tell..are u using pen?

  • is it me

or the foto in 0:22 looks like a female version of luffy?

  • Amazing!

  • sVery nice!!!! I like its video, continue training much boy!!! you had will.

  • Nice done man!!! I actually heard of that, reproducing and pro's work, but I thought

I would remake a page of the a pro's work in a different way. Like changing up the panels or perspectives ya know XD That'll be fun to do to :D

  • Wow ,, you got a 95 % accuracy :D amazing :D

  • its good to know there are others out there who want to be manga-kas

  • Holy shit urs is like 20 times better than the original

  • you should do more videos i like your drawing skills

  • Wow : O

  • Do you have to go to art school to be qualified to have this type of job? Or could you just have raw talent?

  • I love this video i want to be a mangaka but...i dont have the materials :(

  • that so cool u inspiere me to draw more manga thank u

  • This is awesome man!! Looks like a good way to practice! :)

  • ha! i like how you drew it better than the original piece. but whats bugging me is: Where do i get screentones?! >.<

  • Man, that is good

I've been thinking of practicing like this for awhile of course I can never settle down on one good manga

Wish the art stores nearby had screentones too but oh well

anyways good luck on your quest to be a mangaka, trying to make an original is freakin tough XD

  • i'm just saying that material is ovarvalued you don't need pencils from the beeter brand in the world or something , you need to be inspired and just draw be passionated about your drawings even if they look like shit do whatever u want :3

  • yours is much better from the original from what i can see...very impressive. i hope that someday, i can draw or imitate like you.

  • @snjorRefur948 Thank you very much! though my manga-making skill is far behind the author's^^; I also have to improve my skills, including at drawing of course, so let's make progress together, man:)

  • This is impressive! What I like about this is that even though your replicating the original piece, you managed to add in your own unique and distinctive style to it!

Also doing a manga page, even without screentones, takes a long time to finish! And good luck with your future manga projects!

  • @GStrikeDragon I'm glad that you found my drawings unique. Thank you very much for your cheerful comment^^

  • Holy crap, yours is way better than the origanal! Epic win.

  • @nejihyuga901 Thanks a lot! I'm so happy:) but ont thing I have to say is that mine may look better tnan the original because it is just a reproduation^^; I admire especially the author's composing and deforming skills. That's why I chose his manga as the subject^^

  • @STkuribo

Yours is a lot clearer, easier to see and understand and has more impact though. :P

  • @STkuribo Hi! Your work is awesome. I just want to ask, that if Im do the toning with PC this will look still that good? Cause I live in a little country in Europe(Hungary) and can't get tone papers. I can't even get g-pen, maru pen and thing like that. Don't you have an idea where i can order them at internet?

  • awesome work wuts the song tho?

  • @thethirdkira666 Thanks a lot! oh, the song's title? Please check out the very last part of the video!XD ("Henrietta" by The Fratellis)

  • amazing, I'd like to ask when you fill big black spots what do you use? markers or ink? thanks for your answer and sorry for my bad english keep it up you're doing a really nice work

  • Wow, that was amazing ! Usually mangakas have assistants to draw details on a page but you did all alone! To the finest detail ! Can't wait to see your own manga !!

    (^ _ ^) /

  • @DoctorKakashi Yeah I made an efffort to finish it, but I'm sure I can never finish about 19 pages in a week (like Shonen Jump) without assistants^^; I sincerly admire them. Thanks a lot anyway! Oh, I want the go-ahead from my supervising editor for my storyboard XP

  • i like it:D yu i think it's great practice to draw whole manga pages from professional's, it's really great practice you learn from it and it's funX3 you did a really good job;)

  • @mangaluver2010 To be honest, it was not as fun as (not as hard as, at the same time) working on my own manga projectlol But I believe I could learn something from this work, anyway:)

    Thanks a lot!

  • @STkuribo your welcome sweetheart:) yup i know what you mean when i try to recreate from a pro, somtimes it's fun other times i want to rip my hair out lol.cools i'm making my own manga project too, i'm trying to finish it so i can prepare it for print:D

  • @STkuribo these are great, i hope yours get published some day

  • Hello! I am so glad that you have pointed out one of the great ways to learn. Most people do not favor this method, but I think it has a great benefit of giving you more material to work with when you do begin a manga. Looking forward to seeing more videos from you ^_^

  • @Chykara Thank you for your comment^^ Yes, many people may think this kind of work would prevent their originality, so I guess it's important to do this practice keeping your drawing style as much as possible while learning a professional's way of expression. I admire especially this author's way of composing the pictures=)

I'm planning to post a new video before long. Thank you so much!

  • @STkuribo Your drawings look professional. Did you get this good by reproducing manga pages?
