this is natural, a frog eats live bait, yet buying it from a pet shop and literally feeding it is deserved classification as cruelty, but this is life and life has its ways.

@MrImmobile Humane means inflicting little pain as possible, in the case in relation to the mouses death. Gassing it is a much nicer and less traumatic way to die, over being eaten alive.

Another reason I don't agree with feeding live is that just as much harm can come to the feeder animal. Mice are armed with sharp teeth and claws, meaning they could injure the animal trying to eat it when trying to defend for it's life.

I've had 3 of these critters amongst other reptiles that could eat live food and I never fed them like this, it's unnecessarily cruel to the rodent and potentially harmful to the frog. There is no real reason to do so other than getting some sort of perverse satisfaction from it.
