@jesusarnold the Cybernoid II tune by Jeroen Tel on the C64 is one of the finest 8 bit tunes ever on any platform. Nothing like the awful music in ZX and CPC versions of this game.
@Gerardus1970 I liked Cybernoid 1s C64 music, for the sequel they swapped places for some reason, the Spectrum sequel sounds in the style of C64's original (epic and sweeping), whilst the C64 sounds like a catchy jingle that is a little bit derivitive and doesn't take itself too seriously (like the 1st Spectrum game)
Play Lightforce on the Speccy, no colour clash at all and colourful graphics.
At the end of the day it depends on the programmer or software house and how much time they had.
Give me playable games rather than chunky colourful graphics anyday. The Gameboy first edition was monochrome but didnt stop people buying tons of those
Oh dont start the boring computer argument ! Amstrad in the UK was easily 3rd behind Commodore and the Speccy.
Most people in the console generation probably think any Speccy/C64/Amstrad game looks rubbish. Back then it was all about the gameplay not whizzy graphics or sound.
The best version is from C64. The graphics are ALOT better and the sound too.

You forgot the MSX. In my opinion, the best 8 bit computer (and I had a Spectrum and have played a lot to the other systems)
lemforever 4 years ago
The MSX was very good but in the 80's it was either Speccy or C64 with Amstrad in 3rd place. The MSX is a great computer which is very underrated.
At the end of the day it normally comes down to the computer you had as a kid so we're all biased

lol i dont remember writing that. I don't mean to start any arguments.

Yeah, green screen monitor eh?
well i'll admit that the graphics are quite good for a speccy. At least it's not monochrome like some.

seen the Amstrad cpc version for comparison? beats this by miles.

I played it a long time ago, but it's graphics were only in green ;). It's a joke, I have to test it.
