this pedal has 16 high quality and far out sounding effects including ring mods and phasers

There's gotta be a way of just making this type of stuff without having to buy it. -- especially any of the digital effects - it's all gotta just be software emulation. I bet you could just rip apart some video game controllers and get them hooked up to a program like garage band as midi devices or something and have them just be configurable effects.

Individual analogue effects will always beat multieffects Im afraid but its not easy of cheap to find them. I have a GT10 and loads of Boss/Roland stuff. TGT10 is a great unit, best one yet but the digital stuff isnt even close....yet!!
