i love this song so much, this song reminds me of my fathger who is 90 years old, and he is still alive. this song for him makes him strong and alive.
Not that I know of. I'm beginning to think that Pilita only recorded 5 Visayan albums out of the more than 100 in her repertoire. That song you're wondering about is called Mitu-o Ako and I posted the Mabuhay Singers rendition of it.
I remember when i was very small living in Mandaue, my mother, grand mother and great grand mother used to sing this song for me, to put me to sleep. Pilita Corrales has the most wonderful voice, a gift from heaven. I just get so teary when i hear or see my beloved Cebu/Philippines. I LOVE Australia so much too. Maybe, it's just the memory that brings tears in my eyes. Here i am now, on the top of a mountain all alone in a very cold winter night. Nothing better than a cebuano songs...
I have fond memories of the radio drama days in my hometown Cebu City.
I have lived in Australia most of my life and have been an Australian citizen for much longer than I have been a Filipino citizen but Cebu will always be home in my heart.
i remember my lolo very muc with your songs,.. thank you. for making him happy. for making him sing evrytime he hears your songs.. thak u for making him 4get that hes in pain.. he undergone a vey serios operation..
I will always be a visayan no matter where I am in this world.....ang manga bisaya songs of the world are the very best.....i miss suba, antipolo, sta. lucia,,cebu pilita is the best there is...
I'm so glad to have find this song. I was transported back in time to my childhood days in the late 60's and early 70's. This reminds me of people and places that no longer exists. Even the 45 and 33 rpm are gone now. Can anyone say if DYBU still exist today?

This song is very old.
How bitter it is to feel
Where our love is not free
But I shall claim the right to worship
I shall worship you even if only in my dreams.
How sweet it is to feel
If only love is boundless
Your smile will stay in my heart
I shall yearn for it, even if only in my dreams.
(The last six lines are repeated.)
