Ive been on a SAR mission in yosemite with my class to look for a lady who went missing 10 years back, we needed to find her GLASS EYE to make sure it was her, we found her tennis shoe and backpack. The same rescuers said they hepled to search for FOSSET and said they only found about a cup of his remains.
@jerryk2198 Judging from the remains of his aircraft, a cup sounds about right for that kind of impact, not to mention scavengers like crows coyotes and possibly even bear doing their part.
@356butch Yeah the animals are the biggest problem in almost all the recovery missions in the high Sierras, coyotes, bears, vultures are all over the place and scatter the remains, as was the case in Yosemite.
I Heard Richard Branson Took The Remains of The Plane Back to England, he Had His Engineers Put it Back Together, And Now it is in Service With Virgin Airlines.......
@HDaviator Financially enabled records. He wrote big checks to some great engineers and stood on their shoulders. Tycoon, definetly! Aviation pioneer? Meh.
i don't care what they say. people like George Bush want to be remembered and want people to talk about them when they are dead ... me, i can sleep at night without such vapid notions
You may not care when you're dead, but it seems as though you do want people to remember you and talk about you while you're alive. That's why you make these attention grabbing, hateful, sociopathic comments, which, if that's how you really feel, would be better kept to yourself.
he wasted good money on nonsense, and was constantly in the news for his 'adventuring' even though he did NOTHING worth of note
was he first person round globe? first person to cross big spaces in aeroplanes? no? then i guess he was not adventurer and he didn't belong on TV - and yet there he was ...
despicable creature and i hate to say it, he deserved to crash
Poor Bastard - The world has lost a great pioneer!!!!

@unclesara
Perhaps if the poor person broke over 100 records.

Now, I know you're just saying these things for attention, but I'm curious:
What do you think people will say about you at your death? Will they have better things to say of you?

to satisfy your curiosity,
i don't care what they say. people like George Bush want to be remembered and want people to talk about them when they are dead ... me, i can sleep at night without such vapid notions

@Davertin nonsensical, i dont want your responses or your attention
this is a Steve Fossett video - this is where people come to post what they think of him, and my opinion is no less valid
i think he could have done all he did without being a showboating asshole. it can't be simpler - your the one who wants to debate, not me .......

This is so sad about Steve Fosset I was kinda shaken up buy it. I don't understand why he made that flight to such a remote place.

@heathey2 he was doing world a favor

Apologies for my embarrasing spelling "buy" Anyway I don't understand your view on the man. Did he harm anybody or cause problems for others?
