Flat out the best thriller ever made. The last three minutes of this film has never been beaten. A bloody miracle of the cinema. Almost a mistake it is so good: no other thriller comes close to its perfection. And that face of Servais: jeez, haunting.

I have a copy in French of this great French film of the 1950's and the silent robbery scene lasting some 27 minutes must have been the forerunner of the tv series 'Mission Impossible' with its long silent scene in each episode. But, you can't beat the original idea.
