  • Thanks for uploading! I have this on the Gaity comp lp but its good to see it up on here. One of my faves!

  • I found this record referenced on a For Sale list from George's Song Shop ($800 VG+) so after a search I wound up here to give a listen. Glad I did. GREAT tune! Thanks for the post, PJ. Go to minniepaulmusic (sorry, YouTube doesn't allow external links here) for an in-depth piece on the Gaity label and the person who made it happen, David Hersk.

  • @efmurphy3 - I'll check it out, thanks. I heard from Dave a few years ago. I'll have to see if I can find his info.

  • I wasn't old enough to pee if I was born at all when this music was in vouge but I love it so much. The songs were so simple yet said sooo much and spoke to your heart in an innocent way. I wish it would come back.

  • What a great little doo wop tune! love this song! and you have an autographed copy. Never thought Minneapolis Doo Wop would be my favorite for the night! All the best .. Bennie @ Rock-it Radio

  • Im from Minneapolis

  • hi PJ, love this record[both sides] and may i add, thank you for your personal feelings in the comment that you've posted here. it certainly sheds some light on you and your inner personality.[to those who can "see"]. thanks a bunch. tom d brick,nj........Tom D

  • ......it's still a great tune.

  • Amazing arrangement, great vocals and instruments.

  • It's a little raw, but I agree that it's a great record

  • I loved this one it's rawness alone was brilliant my fav i've heard tonight cheers p.j gazza uk

  • The ohohohoh ohohohoh part reminds of Frankie Lymon.

  • Awesome! Signed too! Superb!

  • Yeah, it is somewhat discombobulated, but it's got that sound. Thanks very much.

  • It's a rockabilly band backing them up--Norton Records put out a 2 cd comp of the label's output--thetre are alternate takes of both sides

  • I've heard an alternate take for Two Hearts Make One Love. Didn't realize they had an established band behind them. I wasn't sure if it was a combo that was put together for the record or not.

  • @PJDooWop PJ do you have the alt take of "2 hearts", if so could you post it?

  • everybody always rememeber**all these doo wopers never went to school to sing & harmonize**they were self taught with much confidenece & creation****long live the sound doo wop***coined by gus gossert

  • This is so true. Many, if not most of these groups were comprised of kids that sang on corners

  • amazing a mid western doo wop****they really have that street corner sound**solid

  • PJ, yeah 1965 or so, a dynamite record. A Gus Gossert tune I heard on his show in 1970, thanks man

  • No PJ, by the Channels, after E. L. left the group, it's on Groove record label. Tuff side.

  • I heard about a Channels record on Groove but never knew the title. This was done in the mid 60s, right? I'll keep on the lookout for it.

  • Great side PJ, do u have Old Chinatown to post ? RSVP

  • That one I'm not familiar with.. Is it by The Wisdoms?

  • One could almost visualize the group & band in the studio during the recording sessions. Wonderful ... thanks!

  • It is a very atmospheric record

  • GREAT song PJ! Great find! Thanks for posting!

  • I agree with that. The autographs lead me to wonder who owned this 45.. Was it a member of the group or a friend? Maybe someone bought this from them at a show and they signed it? I'm thinking a group member owned it. If you look closely there's a signature with a line struck through it, almost as if that person was kicked out of The Wisdoms, lol.
