He does have turrets, but they can only target enemies within your SIN (Shared Intelligence Network.) This means that players may have to manually "spot" enemies for the turret, or else the turret will not fire. We aren't sure how powerful they are just yet.

@gededrengen1234 You can't make your own faction (the 2 factions revealed are the "Accord" (the humans) and the "Chosen", some kind of aliens)

I think shadow was referring to "armies" though, those are basicly guilds/clans with which you can compete in pvp matches against other armies (you can also just go in a random pvp match though)

Armies have their own technology tree, so it's best if everybody helps make the army better, cuz everyone in the army will benefit from it

Firefall is just as PvP-oriented as it is PvE. The lead designer of this game was also the lead designer on Tribes 1 & 2; competitive play is the primary draw for me.

It was meant to reply to a comment about how when this comes out, it will be clones a million times. So I may have sounded a little more douchey that I meant, I'm still very excited fro Firefall.

Ah, I see. Objective-based open-world PvP would be nice, but I think it'd be difficult to interweave that with the massive PvE world that they have. They could still do designated "PvP" spots out in the open world, I guess.. but it'd probably be better to just work on more instanced PvP stuff than bother with that. If you want to do Planetside-esque PvP *well*, then you need to build your game from the ground up with that in mind, which is, I think, what you may have been saying?
