This song is in Cantonese, which is a different dialect than Putonghua or Guoyu. Putonghua makes it difficult by making every damn thing in the throat, while in Guoyu, it's very clear! Putonghua changed the original pronunciation of some words. And Simplified Chinese is just ugly. Use traditional Chinese to get the meaning of the beautiful characters.

I hate it when people don't the difference between Guoyu & Putonghua and Cantonese and Mandarin and tries to argue. Guoyu = Mandarin spoken in Taiwan [since 1911 in China]. Guoyu as a surface meaning = National Language, but it wasn't the National lang. of Communist China when the KMT was in power. Putonghua = Mandarin + other Northern China's dialects + more, Mandarin is English word from Portuguese Mandarim, meaning "To command".

Mandarin people think all of chinese speaks mandarin, but did u know, The cantonese part of china, teaches student Cantonese in school and no mandarin. Some people in china can't understand Mandarin. Cantonese to me, is a better more sophisticated and historical language, and it is sad the mandarin government is trying to get rid of it.
