  • can it work on the DS ?

  • so how will you know if your EV has been maxed out?

  • @MrBrandonStudios There's a woman in Opelucid City who would say your Pokemon "Put in great effort!" if they are maxed out. If not, she'll say your Pokemon "Needs to work harder" or something like that.

  • iv tryed it but for some reason it wont work i need help with it

  • Wow ya @theking97ification batter then elite right

  • wow ur Arceus got some good iv, mine sux

  • It's true it does work. I managed to raise my lvl.100 zekrom's hp about 10 points. (Elite four battles)

  • got a question. Are EV's permanent?

  • @brink808 IN Gen III, there were Berries that reduced a particular EV stat in exchange for another, so...yeah, but can still be changed.

  • thanks

  • Wow. And I stopped using one pokemon to keep it from getting to level 100 for Ev Training. The creator should give himself a pat on the back for posting this knowledge. Liked and subscribed.

  • it's not working.I battle 4 litwick which are 1 Sp.Attack EV each and my charizard's Sp.Attack Stat is still 247

  • @TheGreatCreator101 you probably maxed out your ev's already at 510. you need ev reducing berries to take away 10 ev's in other stats first.

  • Does this mean you can use rare candies al the way to lvl 100, then reset EVs with berries and start the whole EV gaining process over again?

  • @CrazyBakuraHair yes. not sure why you'd rare candy up to 100 in the first place but that would work.

  • IF I WANTED TO CAN I EV TRAIN 2 STATS AT ONCE?

  • @seedot35 yes. for example put on a power anklet (+4 speed EV no matter what pokemon you battle), and battle a patrat (+1 atk ev). Summary: Your pokemon holding a power anklet vs. a patrat would get 4 speed and 1 attack ev.

  • Hey! :3 I always see people's Pokemon teams, and their Pokemon have a lot of HP, but still have a great Attack and Defense too. I can't get my Pokemon to be good at ALL the stats. How can I have my Ambipom have good HP, Speed, and Attack? Is it possible?

  • would it be possible to raise arceus stat up to 500? or 400?

  • @PiNkSuGaRx2Alicia -Facepalm-

No it's not possible to get Arceus's stats above 372. Only way to do that is by using Pokesav.

The 372 is when a stat has the full 252 EV's into that stat.

  • So this works with other pokemons too? I accidently made my smeargle and swampert lvl 100 by cloning rare candies in emerald... I thought I could EV train with lvl 100s in heart gold but I couldn't.

  • Should i make it hold a power brace while doing this?

  • @ladiezman221 yes use the power brace it gives you +1 attack more then you upon gainage

  • How many times can we EV train our pokemon?

  • My victini was lv 85 when i started using lucky egg, of course, he is all ev trained already, so the lucky egg won't affect his stats right?

  • @SigmaWaves nope

  • cool now i can finally get 614 def stats on shuckle

  • Comment removed

  • do you have to use a protein to do that

  • damn but after how many battles?

  • @kingcosmo93 Same as any other level. The point of the video was to show that it's possible at level 100, the same way it was possible at any other level.

  • @Namegoesthere I have a level 95 kyreum and im trying to ev train in attack how much route one critters should i battle for evs or do i get it level 100 then do what u did in the video

  • Even a better way to speed things up is take of battle scene =)

  • can someone explain me something. i also asked on platinum vids and stuff but i never get awnsers. i have ferraligator. i gave it 10proteins and after that i finished some machops in 1hit ko. when i was lvl 20 i counted till exactly 51machops (this should be 255 attack EV) by than my ferreligator was lvl23. i expshare traind it to lvl35 i geuss now. but i still just get +2,3 once i had +4. is this because he is low lvl and that makes it go more slowly?

  • @broefkip You're exactly right, level is a major factor in a Pokemon's stats. Your Feraligatr should have above average attack compared to an untrained Feraligatr at the same level, and yours will just keep growing ahead of an untrained one. An untrained pokemon would probably see mostly +1, occasional +2, and perhaps even some +0. Don't worry, you're fine.

  • @Namegoesthere ahh oke thnx. :) oops geuss i didn't write feraligatr right =p. i was getting conserned cause i saw a guy on youtube at just lvl43 already getting +15 and some of lvl 29 +5 or +6 so i was wondering what i did wrong... thanks for the awnser =) you're the first one that ectually does awnser =D

  • @Namegoesthere Do ev's start showing up (in lvl up stat upgrades) at the higher lvls beacause my lvl 36 deino is currently training against litwicks and eglyem(me thinks), about 20 of em per lvl and is holding macho brace but only gettin + 2 sp. att. if you can plz help and ill sub to u if u do

  • @Namegoesthere well actually ill sub to u anyway coz i know what the problem was thx , nice vid

  • @broefkip two things one its harder to do that by exp share and as it progresses higher in level the result will become more substantial for example i once saw someone with a level 83 infernape and when it leveled up it had +23 attack

  • So u can still ev trine at LA100

  • FUCK YES, i have a shiny milotic that i trained to lvl 100 before i knew about EVs, i tought she was doomed to being weak, thank god i was wrong, this video was very helpful, thank you :D

  • did you have protien used on it? and will this work if i used all the vitamins on it alrdy til it tells me it wont take effect?

  • Comment removed

  • Question why does my Mild Milotic don't get ev stats?

Her Stats at level 100 are all below average and i cant feed it with power ups....

  • @blooodybladez Chances are you have maxed out your total EVs. YOu can only have 510 across all stats. You might want to get some EV reducing berries and and use them on it.

Otherwise, it could be your Milotic just has bad IVs. In that case there's nothing you can do about it. :/

  • @blooodybladez You cant feed a pokemon vitamins if the EVs in that stat are at 100 or above already or if you've reached max EVs. You can always take the safe route and use the Pomeg - Tamato berries (and all the berries in between) to lower the EVs your pokemon has all the way to 0. Each berry lowers the EVs in the stat by 10, kinda like an anti vitamin, and it makes your pokes more friendly.

  • hi can u give me a a lvl 100 gurdurr last form ev train with the moves mach punch drain punch bulk up and break brick

  • @themasteratgames123 I might be able to do that, can you give anything in return?

  • @cicifire345 yea wat would u want

  • @themasteratgames123 do you have thundurus?

  • @cicifire345 no wat else do u want

  • @themasteratgames123 do you have tornadus?

  • @cicifire345 yea but tats a shiny i wont trade tat any non lenderiers

  • @themasteratgames123 are you trying to say you want conkeldurr, the last form of gurdurr?

  • @cicifire345 yes ev train with the moves mach punch drain punch bulk up and brick break

  • @themasteratgames123 by last form do you mean a conkeldurr??

  • Are EVs still at 510 maxed?

  • @anikid0392 Yes. Asides this the rules for EVs haven't changed in Gen 5.

  • Knowing this is a relief, I did not know about EV training, I did a shit load of research about it and this can explain why I lose so much in Wi-Fi battles ._. My "Ingame" team is about 20 levels close to 100 and I didn't even know about this. Might be a good time to start EV training, one question. If your pokemon are past level 50 but you want to change its stats by EV training, does it also change your stats in Wi-Fi battles when your pokemon are put to level 50?

  • @MaSuItElIf3 Neither the Subway, nor Wireless/Wifi battles give EXP or EVs. Sorry. :(

  • @Namegoesthere No I meant like, not EV training online , like regular EV training, would those affect your stats when you're pokemon are put to level 50 or once you're level 50 those are your online stats?

  • @MaSuItElIf3 EVs ALWAYS count towards your stats. Even EV training done at levels above 50 count when it comes to things like Random Wifi or the Subway.

  • @Namegoesthere Awesome, thanks man.

  • @MaSuItElIf3 wow, i had the exact same problem

  • Does anyone have a pkrs poke? I have pkrs but it is in my heartgold and I don't have 2 ds's to transfer them

Fc is 4427 3254 2039 thx if anyone is willing to trade

  • I only battle against the pokemon league, would any of those pokemon give EV points to them?

  • @XxJoshRiveraxX Other than LInk Battles and the Subway, everything gives some type of EVs.

  • if I battled my pokemon to 100 it won't work? o.e

  • @XxJoshRiveraxX Not unless you feed it large amounts of the EV reducing berries the ones that also raise happiness). You'll probably need a lot of all 6 kinds to fully clean off the EVs already there.

  • it didnt work

  • @whiteout625 Then you must already have max EVs. You'll need to get EV reducing berries of all the different types from the Dream World in order to redo your EVs.

If you trained to 100 by fighting, it's almost impossible that you wouldn't have max EVs.

  • does this realy work

    it doesnt look real

    and i have english version

    i dont use pokesav

  • @whiteout625 Yes, it's very real. You just have to try it with a level 100 no EV pokemon. Which means you either have to clear the EVs with berries first or have a pokemon that got to 100 solely on Rare Candies. Or a pokemon obtained at level 100, like ALL legal Arceus' are.

  • That is an example of what I mean by paying attention to stats and what moves the poke can learn. Jolteon has low hp and defense. It wouldn't be able to take hits well at all. But it can hurt things quite nicely with great speed and sp attack. You should put 252 into speed and 252 into sp attack. Timid increases speed but lowers attack. Jolteon has horrible attack anyway so timid is a nice choice

  • Vaporeon's typing is water, giving it nice resistances. Its hp allows it to take hits. It can also learn a few support moves such as wish, which can heal your teammates. It us better to ev train in defense rather than sp def since ou would want to balance the stats despite sp def being much higher. If you balance the stats then vaporeon can take all types of hits overall

  • For example, vaporeon has high hp with 464 at most. Despite the fact that it's defense isn't so great, it is still a water type, which is a very nice defensive type. Its special attack is also good. You should prob ev train it in hp and defense. 252 evs can go into hp in order to achieve wat is known as a leftovers number. 212 evs can go into defense and the rest can go into special attack. You can also just put 252 in hp and 252 into defense.

  • Go to serebii.com and look up the eeveelotions as well as their stats and the moves they can learn

  • Whether u ev train in defense or not won't make a difference for your jolteon's ability to take hits better, especially since u did not ev train in hp and your speed is very low. I'm sorry to be of inconvenience but imo u should breed a new one.

  • @AceofRiches Well, guess i'm gonna have to do that for the whole eeveelution since I'm an eevee nut...with the rebreeding of the eeveelution for the competitive battles, how can i tell which nature is the best for each eeveelutions?

  • Unfortunately that is what I'm saying. Your jolteon is way too slow and it'ss defenses aren't high either. Jolteon's speed can go up to 394 at most and it's special attack can go up to 350. U can still use it but it won't be of much help in a competitive battle.

  • Basically it doesn't matter how much u increase his def. Docile nature is already a bad nature for jolteon. Capable of taking hits usually (although not always) just means jolteon has 31 ivs in def. That's good and all but jolteon's defense naturally is very low

  • @AceofRiches so you're saying that in a way, i have wasted time training my jolteon all the way to level 100 from a lv 1 eevee...right? When I should have been training a "Timid" Jolteon rather than a "Docile" Jolteon?

  • It wouldn't help. Jolteon is practically a glass cannon. It's special def is decent but it's defense sucks. So does his hp. U should focus on jolteon's best stats since it won't be able to take hits well anyway

  • @mimiko92 no that jolteon is pretty horrible. Try to get a timid nature one for jolteon. Jolteon's best stats are speed and special attack. It's defenses pretty much suck

  • @AceofRiches which is why i want to ev train him in defense to increase his defense...

  • 301 in attack...but using sp attack moves....O.o.....makes no sense

  • I tried the same thing with my lv. 100 jolteon with his defense, but it didn't work! anyone know why?

  • @mimiko92 It worked for me, did you already train it?

  • @animeguy10000000 I have trained my Lei Jing (my Jolteon's nickname) from an lv. 1 eevee all the way to lv. 100 Jolteon with these stats: HP: 259; Attack: 165; Defense: 173; Sp. Attack: 252; Sp. Defense: 240; Speed: 305...are these stats even good for competitive battles?

  • @mimiko92 What nature is it?

  • @animeguy10000000 his nature is Docile, he's also "Capable of Taking Hits" - which i think helps ups his defenses...

  • @mimiko92 Docile doesn't increase anything.

  • @animeguy10000000 ok, so how can i ev train him when this trick is not even working?

  • @mimiko92 get rid of all the ev points that it already has. (Sorry for the late comment)

  • what is that ev ckecker program?

  • Eee!!

So now i can fix my Mewtwo?

    ;D

  • Did ur arceus have pokerus?

  • @frederick123ish No it did not, though in retrospect I should've given it Pokerus just so I wouldn't have had to speed up so many battles.

  • hey i barely found out about EV's so before i maxed out stats using the vitamins. does that interfere in anyway with the EV's cuz i've been training for like 10 minutes and no stat change

  • @hitkid96 Vitamins ARE EVs. Each vitamin gives 10 EVs in that particular stat.

  • ok sry forget my previous comment but when i had rayquaza his attack was around 384 and it went up to 396. but i dont have it anymore cuz i started over (that was not smart!)

  • really? not bad but i got an arceus in platinum using the event (using action replay) and when he got to level 100 his special attack was 326. beat that!

  • why this aint working with my game??!?!?

  • This really great cause i just realized what EV training is:D

its not late for my pokemon to EV train

  • when i was messing with my 100 arceus...i thought his stats were increasing randomly...now i know why

  • I've been trying to "re-EV" some Pokes lately, all in the 50'ies. I got all the Power-items, and in the case of my Infernape it worked somehow. I could raise its Sp. atk by 128 EVs, and its speed by 252 - but the woman in Opelucid says it's unable to gain any more EVs - Is there no way (except for the berries) to remove the random EVs and redistribute them into attack?

  • @Demonima Actually you can't even do the verry method right now unless Nintendo released them without my realizing. So yeah, your Infernape is kinda stuck.

  • @Namegoesthere You can get the berries in Dream World.

  • @Messuduppotatoasia Have the EV reducing berries been released? I know some berries are available, but to my knowledge, the EV reducers and the type resisters are still unavailable.

  • @Namegoesthere I have about 6000 dream points and I do have a couple of EV reducing berries. I'm pretty sure Hondew berry, Kelpsy berry, ect. are reducing berries and I have a couple of them. Once you unlock the sky place you can find these berries. Also, they give you the type resisters from the start and you can grow a bunch of them and put them up for trade since you only get 1 of the type resisters. I personally got Yache berry.

  • @Messuduppotatoasia I stand corrected then. Glad Nintendo finally got off their ass and gave them to us.

  • every one who does no what the pokemon they k.o is worth go to pokemon ev guide that will help :)

  • i hatched a shiny roggenrola but it's bold nature =/ ( lowers attack but raises defence) should i still ev train her in attack?

  • Hey my steptile speed is 290 without eve trianing than i try rasing his speed and i wont go up he is lvl 100

  • @claw247 It's probably at max EVs. You can only have 510 total across all stats.

  • i have a question if you lvl up a pokemon by using exp share would they get EV's

    even if they didnt fight?

  • @fr3d1304 Yes.

  • @Namegoesthere oh ok ty

  • Im still a little confused so if my zoroark is lv 100 how many durants to i need to kill in order to get my defense up by 1?

  • @codfan65 Assuming it has room for EVs still, 2 Durant KOs per point..

  • @Namegoesthere Hey i'm trying to EV train my level 91 Reshiram's HP, but my friend says its too late to EV train said pokemon, is this true?

  • @theNEWMASKSdudexxx Lol if youve battled lots of random pokemon and maxed out your evs into random stats. then your reshiram is hopeless.

  • I JUST GOT POKERUS!!!!!

    CELEBRATE!!!!!!

  • so, would that mean that if you beat 400 lillipups or patrats, would it mean that the attack would go up by 100

  • @Leptontown Not quite. Every stat EV has a cap of 255, it'd be pointless to fight 400 patrat/lillipup.

  • how do you know if a pokemon has max evs

  • @TheIcetead There's a girl in I think Opelucid city who will give your lead an effort ribbon if they have 510 EVs.

  • I wish I'd waited to use that event Regigigas then. Now it's ruined :(

  • this is normal right not AR?

  • @ItsJeniDuh No AR codes were active during this recording. :)

  • this game ruined ev training better on diamond and pearl

  • This guy uses hacks by the looks of things or maybe has used some RNG abuse, his pokemon has 31 in all of it's IV's.

  • will it work for a pokemon i got on GTS???

  • @daggerman43 It might it might not. It depends on how many EVs the pokemon already has.

  • @Namegoesthere oh thx :)

  • @Namegoesthere evs start over when they trade

  • @ltmachale Uh... source on this. I'm 99% sure they don't.

  • @Namegoesthere lol oh well thought they did :P

  • How about the rumor that you can still do it with other pokemon lv 100 and when you put them in the pc it recalculates their stats? I recently learned about EV's however the main poke I want to perfect EV's on is my lv 93 Shuckle with mixed EV's from EXP share at the elite four.

  • @LocalChamp9139 what are putting the evs in, attack and speed?

  • @supersonicman96 No, I put them in hp and def and your a little late lol I already finished perfectly ev training him and found out that doesn't work. for lv 100s.

  • @LocalChamp9139 i know im late i just thought you would put them in two departments it needs the most work in

  • @supersonicman96 You need to look up how Shuckle is used. The version I'm talking about is the Toxic Stall one, even the Rollout Sweep one doesn't get atk or speed EV's..and no Shuckle ever should.

  • @LocalChamp9139 i just looked at shuckle's max attack and youre right, its just a waste of evs

  • every 4 ev points is one more stat point you get

  • wait, if you ev train does the stat not go up till you level up?

  • wait so if you ev train a pokemon to raise its attack (patrat, lillipup) would you have to battle it 25 times and then its attack would go up 25? im confused

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN

  • Here's my problem: I had a lvl 30 Axew, I decided to EV train it, I decided to train its Atk stat first, its Atk stat was increasing just like in the vid(which was how I confirmed how it was possible to EV train lvl 100s), after a short while the increasing stopped, when my Axew lvl'd she only got +2 or 3 I can't remember, 8 lvls later her Atk only went up by +4 once and the others were +0 to+2 so after this my Q is: Did I do something wrong ? I know the +64 doesn't happen right away.
  • @SirPreyasThe619 Sounds like you've already maxed out your Axew's Attack EVs.

  • @Namegoesthere You see here's the thing: My Axew's atk stat stopped atuo-increasing(like your Arceus) after 40 something points and I know the max you can put to a poke is 252 or 254 and I haven't stopped EV training it for Atk. I know that the numbers will start to add up in a couple more levels I just want to know why it stopped giving my Axew Atk points automaticly
  • @SirPreyasThe619 Okay, you've been EV training for attack. Is this all the training that you've ever done for this Axew? It sounds like either you've hit the max for just Attack (255) or for the total across all stats (510). If you have then you obviously can't get any more EVs.

Either that, or you just haven't earned enough EVs to show a stat point. If my calculations are correct then at level 30 you need 10-11 EVs per point.

  • @Namegoesthere

My Axew doesn't have 255 anything so it

can't be that. I've only started to get some Spe and HP

EVs two lvls ago. And I spent 4 hours EV training my

Axew on Atk so I'm guessing I'm done Atk training.

  • the way EVs work now, you'd most likely have them maxed by level 100 anyway

  • Its impossible on ds

  • @Eikseth No it's not impossible.

  • So your telling me any lv 100 pokemon can still gain stat just by battle weak pokemon 4 times? Wow oh and please reply =)

  • @kiko64667ify You mean special attack?? IF that's what you're talking about, go to celestial tower 2F and you'll only find Litwik which give 1 SpAtk EV each.

  • If you're EV training a level 1 pokemon (holding exp. share) and put a higher leveled pokemon as leader of the party with EV's that haven't maxed out, would the leading pokemon get the EVs or the Lv. 1 pokemon?

  • @Queerily Both. Same amount of EVs would be given to both Pokemon.

  • @Namegoesthere Ah alright thanks! I've been EV training (first ever attempt) my Larvesta with Sp. Atk. and I sometimes notice the change and sometimes I don't.

  • @PKMNRandomness stoutland gives you +3 attack go to route 10

  • So if you battle Patrats which gives +1 Evs on a lv 100 pokemon, how many patrats(approximately) to increase the stat of a pokemon?Like Arceus attk goes from 301-302 or something like that

  • @Hydrozaft At level 100 4 EVs = 1 Stat point. So beat 4 Patrats and get 1 Attack. This is assuming that your pokemon still can get EVs of course (ie they have less than the cap)

  • @Namegoesthere I've just realised a pretty good way to get EVs.

Alright, so, you probably want to get your Pokemons good stats and stuff for Wi-Fi.

The first thing to do is to get Macho Brace (From a man in Nimbasa City, Eastern Gate, leading to Lostlorn forest or something). Second of all, if you have a Pokerus infected pokemon, infect the Pokemon you want to EV train. Equip the Pokemon you want to EV train with Macho Brace.

    Now, it should be

    EV amount (1) x 2 (Macho Brace) x 3 (PokeRus).

  • @SprayingCan thar is a beter way to ev train ev amount is 1 +4 power item+pokerus=10
