that would have gone a lot differently if that chevy wasn't lifted. It's hitch would be a lot higher so the weight of the dodge puling on it would transfer the energy downward giving him more traction and pulling upwards somewhat on the dodge giving it less traction. You can't beat the torque of a cummins so we know it couldn't have been the chevy's engine that made him win :p
@dcyfd excuses excuses ur theory is correct bout the hitch hight but the trash about cummins having more torque granted the chevy had a gas engine . i think a duramax would have pulled two of those cummins!!!
Where The Magic Happens Duramax engines are manufactured in Moraine, Ohio, by DMAX Ltd. This is a joint venture between General Motors and Isuzu. When originally conceived, DMAX Ltd. was 60 percent owned by Isuzu and 40 percent owned by GM. Today, that ratio has swapped, and GM is the majority owner.
thats all nice and dandy but GM motors never will get to the level of Dodge or Ford its been proven through gas powered and deisel. Chevy boys still tryna make vids to make u look good. smh lol
@JoeMondayRWG Your comment is flawed, General Motors P/N 19244611 is pretty much the epitome of engine building today, aside from completely custom blocks like K.B and Dart.
@bradenn Dnt git meh wrong a nice 454 is good times but dnt mistaken the fact that what you just said is completly false U cnt build advanced engines offa ol muscle. I mean I luv muscle but the engines nowadays r too soft.....
@JoeMondayRWG What did I say that was "completely false"?. Once again, refer to GMPP P/N 19244611, there is no way that is"old muscle" or "soft" considering Warren Johnson played a major role in it's development.
@hdmike2500 "Rumors" are not always true, also like how everyone use to say ford owned cummins.... Dodge is suppose to be working with cummins to develop a smaller V6 and a V8 motor for the 1500 rams. Also like shane said, Duramax is made by Isuzu and all the old powerstrokes were made by international/navistar but the new 6.7L powerstroke is made by ford now since they dropped international/navistar, which i think was because of the lawsuit they are in for the crappy 6.0L's
well at the end of this year cummins is no longer going to be in dodge simply because the contract with ford ran out... so now dodge has to build their own shit for a change just like GM and ford.
who the FUCK cares who makes it....ford, dodge, or chevy at least their american and not jap shit. The minute you buy a truck that aint got a american part on it you basically chop your own balls off with chopsticks.
Offroad tires versus highway spin-alls. That is definitely a fair competition. The offroad tire rubber is softer and stickier. Put some grips on the dodge and try it again. I bet the outcome will be different.
Chrysler/Fiat blows trannys blow like no tomorrow, they can't build a diesel engine to save their lives so they must order Cummins for them which still get owned in stock performance by the Ford built Scorpion and GM built Duramax diesels. The only way Rams can compete is if you dump all kinds of time & money in mods
@ls3100sfi the only thing i dont like about the duramax is that isuzu made the diesel for gm... and ford well my buddy had a 7.3 and he had to drop 8,000 in it after 2 weeks of use the injection pump and injecters went out and every winter the gas gelled up he had it plug in all night and moisture still got in.. the 24v 5.9 cummins is the best motor but everything else around it falls apart... cummins motor-ford frame/body-chevy's allison 1000 trans and wiring=perfect truck...
@ls3100sfi Cummins is made by Cummins, The powerstroke was made by International, the Scorpion is made by ford, and the duramax is made by Isuzu, not GM.
As a fact, 80% of the people who prefer Chevy change their mind after the first year or so of owning one. The other 20% who realize this then become too dumb founded to know how to speak.
@recniabsal My percentage was based off what I've been told, heard, and seen. For the record its impossible for any competition to be held and it be 100% fair. Some ones always got an advantage. Whether its openly stated or done in secret. As for these two trucks, I highly doubt any one there was cheering for Dodge. Smell a conspiracy yet?
@recniabsal Quality aye?...Hahahaha, that's like saying Suzuki "OWNS" Nissan. Or rather comparing a plastic child's toy to a collectors model car. Chevy earned its rep for "cool" commercials & the "All American" idea. Sadly not everything made in America is the best quality anymore.
@recniabsal I'm only talking to you because you attempted to insult me in a vague way. As far as I'm concerned you'll only believe me when you find out for yourself. Although by then most people don't have the balls to admit it. Hopefully you will since I can't believe all of society is stubborn until death.
Haha you dumb. Chevy assholes that truck won cus it's not a stock truck. Fuckin idiot

the engine didn't win the truck did... the chevy is lifted and has better tires... kinda obvious who is going to win.
