This was a sad day for Oleg. I remember reading "Combat Magazine" at the time after WVC2 and the Ruas/ Taktarov fight. It was reported that Oleg had recieved concussion, a fractured jaw, a broken hand and, I think it was 27 stitches . The magazine also mentioned he planned to fight Renzo 12 days later and mentioned it could turn out to be "the worst decision of his career". Looks like they were right. Great upkick but wouldnt have had so much effect without prev injuries.

Regarding this fight, it was a great upkick but it is impossible to know if it would have been the same without previous damage. As you prob know, repetitive blows after a concussion are very dangerous, it is also easier to KO someone. There is a reason for 1 to 3 month suspensions. Not to mention the shot to the fractured jaw
