@Physicspilot As far as I know, you can't go above 3,000 ft. (right below cloud level) in a cessna without special clearance. I still enjoy getting as close as I can to the clouds.
@Physicspilot I suppose it feels like one thousand orgasms..in the same time!! That means you could die of too much pleasure, haha!! Anyway, seriously now, I know the feeling, it's cool you get to pilot even small plane like Cessna..:))Don't ever give up flying!
This has always been my dream about flying, I don't care about the plane or the speed or performances. Just want to see these wonderful clouds and the amazing view from the cockpit. Great great video!
@cst1908 Clouds are created by air that's moving up. As the air moves up the moisture content in that piece of air will stay the same, however the temperatures drops as you move higher and the air will have less capacity to hold the mosture. Therefor it condensates and creates a cloud. So ussualy if you see clouds that that (pillar like clouds (cumulus /cumulonimbus) it's air that's moving upwards and next to that is ussualy air moving downwards. So you get a shake
hi man :), im just wondering and u as a pilot could have a answer for, Why does some aircraft have this extremly long contrails after them and that sticks in the air for hours apon hours, it makes this mist in the atmosphere and hides the butiful clear blue skyes.
@ButteKha I'm not a pilot but I can answer your question. The air at airliner cruise altitudes is very, very cold (-69F, or -56C) and moisture in exhaust (which is a byproduct of combustion) condenses and freezes, leaving the condensation trail. Sometimes the trails linger for hours if the air is still enough and/or has enough humidity saturation. If the air is moving or it's too dry, the contrails dissipate quicker. That's the simple explanation.
Great video. fantastic editing also! i have some cloud surfing videos in a citaiton Mustang on my channel "BlueLineSpeed" but its definately not as well edited as this one. thanks for sharing, Safe flying!
We do this in small planes here in the US. Tons of fun! And it must be absolutely crazy to have that much fun in something that big! Thanks for posting!
Are you guys flying non radar most of the time, here in the states we dont have the freedom to fly pick our way through the clouds like that! Awesome video!!! B742F Thumbs up! And wow those are some strong t-storms way above FL390!
@waveblaster200 Yeah we didn't often get the chance to play in the clouds, but every now and then the cheesy grin was unleashed. The weaving was done down in Zambia all non-radar. Glad you enjoyed the video!
I wonder what it feels like flying in that cloudwich(sandwich) at 3:18...BTW I cloud surf today in a 172(Cessna)!

@Starpilot149 That's bull. There is no such altitude restriction in any Cessna. Though if you don't have a IR you must remain VFR.

@ButteKha they are made of water that condensates due to the high temperature of the engines exauhst gases.
