In 1978 they were performing at the Las Vegas Hilton, I was 11 years old. Jimmy came out into the audience, and picked the 30 year old lady next to me who was there with her boyfriend to sing to. That was simply a dorky thing to do. And you know what she did? She laughed while he sang to her. He should have sang to me.

I attended the taping of this segment of the Donny & Marie show at the Tabernacle. In this particular tune, I remember how, at least the Osmonds' singing, had been previously recorded. I also recollect many times, everything was halted to comb Jimmy's hair. MTC conductor Gerrald Ottley got a laugh when he pulled out a comb and did his own hair!!!

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir also sang "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire". I recall them doing it over and over again.
