Not sure if I'd say this qualifies as a guilty pleasure in their case. The point of a "guilty" pleasure is that you know it's low quality and are embarassed to say you enjoy whatever it is, yet they seem to be very open about it.

It doesn't mean secret of course, but you gotta feel somewhat guilty about it, hence the name and they seem to have no regrets about liking this.

My personal opinion? Why in the hell was this loved so much? I never heard of it until now and I can see why.

This is one of the best movies around, NC didnt take in to account the times this came out. Its cliche nowadays but back then? No. I'm starting to notoce that the NC trashes on movies for the wrong reasons and likes movies si ilarily for the wrong reasons. I'm starting to hate him

I don't really like the term "guilty pleasures" because it implies feeling ashamed of liking something, which just seems wrong. But if I had to pick something I liked that I really feel like I shouldn't, it would have to be the Wachowskis' Speed Racer movie.

The reviewers here are all really good singers surprisingly enough. Is there anything these guys cannot do? They make great comedy, great acting, great reviewing (although Lindsay's the best imho) and now great singing. I going to continue following these guys until SOPA finally kills them. Also I like how Spoony makes a cameo in so many reviews, almost as if Dr. Insano made his house the center of the bloody universe, too bad he's having a lack of updates lately.

Went to a film night with my friends, they all started ripping the piss out of it, despite watching it for the 1st time for a few minutes. Figured merh, I'll get tipsy in the other room and talk about the mysteries of life. Come back and watch at the part Christian is crying over Satine and start pissing myself with laughter. Everyone actually got emotional and pissed off that I laughed at his stupid over the top acting, seriously?! xD

These guys are really entertaining. This one is my favorite review ever from NC.

Concerning the use of 'gay' in the song: NC uses 'retarded' a lot, but he is a comedian. I am gay, but I have never felt that hes used gay in a mean-spirited way, and have never been offended by it. I believe he has even implied he has no problems with gays. I think we should have a sense of humor.

I've seen a BUNCH of NC's stuff, but at times he's a little too harsh on films that aren't that terrible. However, your comment DID inspire me to give those other guys a look. You're right, NC is not bitter, he simply has nothing better to do and movies are easy to pick on. ConfusedMatthew and RedLetterMedia pretty much hit the bitter mark, and gain attention for it.

And sure, the Critic is rough, but that's what makes it entertaining. The Nostalgia Critic is just a character he based on Disney's Red Queen interpretation, and anything negative he says is a humorously offensive "Off With Their Heads!"

That's really why I love this Moulin Rouge review - I've never seen the movie, since it isn't my thing, but I've seen both this review and ConfusedMatthew's review, and the entertainment value of this one is twice what I'd get out of the movie itself.

There's only so many times you can do the "nitpick movie and edit clips into it" review before it gets old.
