For all those slagging off Alonso, you have to remember that was his instant reaction straight after the whistle after a couple of Barnsley players wanted his shirt. A minute or two later he was shown shaking hands with several players and I also read somewhere that ALL the Liverpool players had a drink with the Barnsley players after the game.

Alono was angry, embarrassed and the last thing he wanted was the goalscorer in his face within seconds of the final whistle asking for his shirt. At least he realised his mistake and exchanged shirts, I can think of a lot of players who wouldn't have done that.

Also, The Liverpool fans stayed behind to applaud Barnsley, how many other fans would have done that? They were dissapointed but still showed respect to Barnsley at the final whistle, its a shame more fans are not like that.
